White water rafting trips, wonderful hardware/general store, unique antique and gift shops, galleries and restaurants just a short drive away. Beautifully restored Indian Lake Movie Theater features current movies, and a variety of music events..
Just 15 minutes down the road visit The Adirondack Experience, an incredible indoor/outdoor museum featuring exhibits all about the Adirondack Park, and its history, art and culture in Blue Mt. Lake. Wonderful trails for hiking, caving, rock climbing nearby. Great places to eat nearby at rustic family lakeside resorts.

“Found this adorable cabin as a place to spend time with my 3 young grandkids ages 4,6 &8. Mary , the owner had everything we needed! Tucked away in a private setting , cozy, full of everything we needed for a wonderful time. Local hiking up a nearby mountain, tacos in town along with a charming movie theatre from the past. Dont forget to pick up any Adirondack souvenirs in town in the quintessential stores or nearby Adirondack towns ALL with charm!! We are already booked for July of 2019. Mary was a delightful host , easy to talk to & with numeral suggestions. I will come back with girlfriends to kayak the vast rivers and lakes and explode more hiking without little ones. A must do in your Adirondack experience!!”

“Hello, thanks for letting me review the "New Moon" cabin. What a beautiful location for a quiet getaway in the Adirondacks. Its close to so many lakes and trails and has a nice area around the cabin to quietly explore as well. The layout is open and fun for a family weekend or a romantic getaway. The upstairs has a bunch of beds for the kids(and maybe some lucky parent) and the 1st floor bedroom has a cozy nook that's right in the trees. I stayed for a week with my girlfriend and the dogs, we had a blast! Its a little drive to the grocery store but the fridge is full size and the kitchen is a nice space to make some delicious meals. There are a few good restaurants around and the folks that run them couldn't be nicer. The New Moon Cabin is a very special place, I highly advice a visit. ”

“If you want a real experience in the Adirondacks The New Moon Cabin is a great choice, the kids will enjoy as well. The cabin is well equipped and very comfortable. Away from the road, it is quiet and peaceful surrounded by nature. Close to a swimming lake! ”

“I had a reunion with five old friends at the New Moon Cabin . The cabin suited all our needs providing us with comfortable cooking together and relaxed catching up. It felt like we were holed up on in a secluded location but it was so close to all. The owner was a wonderful host providing us with local suggestions/advice and property was turn key, affordable and just as pictured - a true log cabin and a lovely spot! Thank you for sharing -- We will be back!”
