Hoel Point Camp* is lakefront living at its absolute finest. Swim, fish, kayak or canoe from your private dock with 300 feet of sandy waterfront. This charming lodge on five private acres has five bedrooms and three bathrooms; most with views of the lake. The master bedroom with queen-sized bed has its own full bath. The recently renovated gourmet kitchen is equipped with a V …iking gas range and oven, large refrigerator, and a dishwasher, and there are full laundry facilities. The large, comfortable great room with cathedral ceiling offers windows with panoramic lake views for amazing sunsets. Two sunny outside decks have plenty of seating, and an outdoor gas grill is wonderful for cooking on summer evenings. There is a separate screened-in gazebo near the house, perfect for quiet reading in the afternoon. Two kayaks with paddles and an aluminum canoe are included with your stay.

Hoel Pond is a sandy bottomed, 455-acre lake with depths of up to 80 feet. It is one of the best fishing waters in New York State for Lake Trout and Landlocked Salmon, so bring your fishing poles! Hoel Pond is an integral part of the Saint Regis Canoe Area, the only designated Canoe Area in New York State. Paddle through the Hoel Pond culvert to a world of beautiful lakes, mountains, and adventure!

There are many opportunities for walking, running, and biking at Hoel Point Camp, as the roads are both scenic and safe. There are many opportunities for exploration, including hiking 2,241-foot Panther Mountain, 2,874-foot St. Regis Mountain, and 3,352-foot Ampersand Mountain, each less than a 15-minute drive away. Additionally, Paul Smiths College contains a great number of walking trails for the whole family.

Hoel Point Camp is within walking distance of the Saranac Inn Golf and Country Club. In 2012, the golf club was designated by Golf Digest as one of the Best Places to Play, scoring a grand total of 4 1/2 stars.

If you wish to learn more about the extensive history of the Adirondacks, the Wild Center in Tupper Lake is within a 12-mile drive from Hoel Point Camp. Downtown Saranac is about a 9-mile drive and has many shops, restaurants, and parks to explore. Lake Placid and the Olympic venues are great places to visit, as they are only another 9-mile drive from Saranac Lake.
