“I wish to give Liberty Place 6 out of 5 stars! My sisters and I found the place clean, cozy, full of accommodations, and perfect for our family vacation. The beds were comfortable, and there were games, movies, and books available for guests use. The view of the lake from the deck was breathtaking, and the days on the private beach, were perfect. Sitting by the fire next to the lake and hearing the Loons, was incredibly peaceful. We didnt have great weather on our week, but we felt that our vacation lacked for no comforts, because of the well-stocked and beautifully decorated place. We are thankful to have found Liberty Place, and will return!”

“We have rented many camps in the Adirondacks and Liberty Place is right up there with the best. The camp has everything you need and is situated on the best part of the lake. We saw a lot of wildlife including an eagle which came down and hit the water right in front of the camp. We caught several good size largemouth bass right from the dock and around the lake.We had a great week and hope to be back next year! Thanks again for making your camp available for rent.”

“We just finished out a wonderful week at Liberty Place. The cabin was immaculate! Clean carpets, freshly painted deck, all linens (including beach towels) were included. There was a beautiful view of the lake from the dining table, kitchen, living room and upstairs bedroom. Spacious! The weather this week wasn't great, rained on and off, but the assortment of games and the availability of a dock in front of the cabin made for great fishing, good family time specially for the grandkids. The 2 sofas were very comfortable as well as the beds, although 2 were full size (antique bed frames). The only thing I was surprised at was that Liberty Place was advertised as a 2 bathroom cabin. It had 1 bath with tub/shower combo, one bathroom with stall shower, and a 3rd 1/2 bath upstairs between the 2 upstairs bedrooms. I would definitely advertise as a 2.5 bath house. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and would definitely try and stay there again if the occasion presented itself. Our host was very responsive. ”

“The Liberty Place continues to be a great place for our family vacation! This is our 4th time staying here and it is great for wonderful family time, relaxation, and watching the wildlife. The deck continues to be the feature that stands out most for our family . . . morning coffee while watching the loons call each other, lunch at the table while drying off from swimming, and late at night watching the stars! Just fantastic! The place itself has all the comforts of home and we hope to stay again next year! Mary C”

“This is our go to place to stay when we are in the ADK. We have come to the Speculator region for many years and Liberty Place continues to be our favorite place to stay. This year we stayed two weeks and had the best weather ever!!!! Although it was warm a few nights, the fans kept the place cool inside. The fishing was excellent and our teenage girls loved having the upstairs to themselves! My favorite place is the deck and I'm pretty sure our family spends 90% of our time there! This year we really enjoyed sitting on the deck after dark and looking at the stars . . . We give this place the absolute top recommendation! ”

“We stayed at Liberty Place over Labor Day weekend 2017. We had a lovely experience. The house is immaculate and we felt right at home right from the first moment we arrived. I would say families/groups of up to six would be very comfortable there - more than that might be a stretch. The large movie collection gave us something to do for an entire day when the weather turned nasty. There is a good-sized lawn above the patio/beach area, which our kids spent a lot of time playing on. The beach is very nice; the dock is long and functional. The owners were very easy to deal with - Andy took it well when we had to report that a wayward soccer ball had broken a basement window. He told us he would have someone take care of it, and did so at a very reasonable price. And I cannot recommend more highly that you climb to the ledge on Panther Mountain on the north side of Piseco - amazing views after a fairly short climb. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and would recommend it to anyone. ”

“The cabin was beautiful and clean. Being right on the lake was great for us and the kids. We swam a lot and did some boating on the kayaks we brought. Dug shells and rocks in the water and build sand castles on the beach. The view is absolutely gorgeous and the satellite TV was nice when it rained. We always enjoy Speculator and Oxbow and this is about as nice a place to stay as it gets. Looking forward to staying again.”

“This was our second year staying at Liberty Place and if possible it was even more wonderful. We spent the majority of the time sitting on the deck, watching ducks, loons, eagles and whatever else happened to swim by. We enjoyed meals on the deck and grilled most nights. It is a wonderful place.”

“This property rates about the highest of all rentals that we have stayed at in the Adirondacks. Lodging is very nicely done, just about everything you need to live is included. We had a few guests visit and they were all impressed and even kidded (I hope) about taking the time frame we wanted to have next year. Speculator has what you forget or run out of, we found the Adult beverage store to be a bit expensive so we would recommend that you plan accordingly. We were taken with the hummingbird feeder but found that if it was not removed at dusk then some critter ( raccoon) would visit and knock off the bottom which causes the liquid to run all over the deck. Grandson loved the fishing, this was the first camp he was able to catch anything at all. Hope to return next year. Thanks so much. Jay and Joan”

“It really is the little things that Liberty Place offers that make it simply wonderful. From the amount of towels (beach, bath, kitchen) to how stocked the kitchen was with everything you could possibly need to the padded chairs on the patio to the bench on the dock to the gas grill . . . I really could go on and on!!! Beds were very comfortable and the views spectacular. Fishing was great off the dock. My girls (11 and 13) loved all the games and DVD's, the beach, and the privacy of their own floor!!! I would recommend it to anyone!!!”

“It was an absolute blessing to have stayed here for 7 nights. We were attending a family conference nearby but wanted accommodations offsite. Beautiful home, immaculately kept. Loved that it was and always have been smoke-free and pet free. The kids loved the beach area and had a great time fishing off the dock. Our 3 young kids also loved the kids room. The views from the living/dining room and upstairs bedroom of the lake was breathtaking. Loved watching the sunset and sunrise everyday. Very quiet and peaceful - something we loved. We will definitely be coming back to stay every summer.”

“Our family enjoyed our stay at Iiberty place property. The small children saw a loon for the first time ever. Fishing was great off the dock. The home was clean, comfortable, and the deck was a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset and to watch our children play. Would have been better swimming without all the lily pads but they were flowering and beautiful to look at. I would recommend to anyone looking for a private, quiet getaway. Kitchen well equipped and supplies are on hand.”

“We enjoyed our stay at Liberty Place! The weather wasn't real conducive for swimming or boating, but we were entertained by wildlife on the lake - ducks, turtles, loons and 'jumping' fish. We liked the privacy of this location and the view of the lake from here.”

“The Liberty Place is a great getaway house with ideal location nestled along the serene Oxbow Lake in the southern Adirondacks. The fully functional kitchen allowed us to make most meals at home and sit at the dining room table overlooking the lake. With several great hikes and other outdoor activities within an hour, the location of this house is perfect for active vacationers. A day trip to Lake George is recommended at just 1:15 hr away and even to Lake Placid just 2:05 hr away. I'd recommend this place to anyone and look forward to visiting again in the future. ”

“Lovely home right on Oxbow lake! We loved the deck view and the fishing right off the pier! Hummingbirds visited the feeder often which was a treat. Plan to return next year Lord willing!!!”

“We loved Liberty Place on Oxbow Lake! It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing! We spent so much time on the massive deck! With little kids, it allowed us to play outside in a safe environment! We loved the beach area and playing in the sand and the water! We enjoyed time in the adirondack chairs and grilled outside on both the charcoal and the gas grills! The inside had a fully stocked kitchen! Never once did I look for something and not find the right cooking utensil or baking item! It had everything! The cool breeze was much appreciated and we loved sleeping with the windows opened! The house had a cute American themed decor! It was close to the town of Speculator, but we also did day trips to Saratorga Springs, Lake George, and to ride the ADK Scenic Railroad. It was a great relaxing retreat and we really enjoyed connecting as a family while staying at Liberty Place! We certainly will be renting there again! Next time we are going to rent a canoe and go fishing while we stay there! ”

“This home is as clean as a brand new home. The layout is perfect with beautiful views of the lake. The setting on Oxbow Lake is spectacular and even afforded us the opportunity to see a couple of playful otters! We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away and have as comfortable a stay inside as it is beautiful outside. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and almost seemed like friends throughout the entire process. Call them and you won't be disappointed. ”

“Liberty Place is such a beautiful setting! The whole house, deck, dock and beach area are all SO inviting, relaxing, and well-appointed. Owners have created a delightful fusion of functional Americana with a sprinkling of antique elegance. The space blends to create a wonderful place for meals, discussion, entertainment, and overall enjoyment!
And the icing on the cake . . . the views are breathtaking. We woke up to soak in gorgeous sunrises (coffee in hand, of course!) across the lake-front, mountain-view backdrop. Each evening, our elevation privileged us with an extra-late sunset and then unbelievable views of the stars.
This is a tremendous location, just a few miles to the four corners for groceries, restaurants, ice cream, and antique-shopping.
In case you cannot tell, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at Liberty Place!”
