No need to get in the car since you can walk to golf, tennis, the marina, beach, boat rentals, x-country skiing, hikin …g trails, miles of wilderness walks and two incredible restaurants on the shore of Lake Placid, both overlooking the lake and mountains: Lake Placid Lodge, a 5 star Relais and Chateau Resort offers Maggie's Pub and the Artisan Restaurant. Moose Lodge Restaurant is also within easy walking distance at the marina during June to September. Sit on the balcony or deck at either place and watch the sun setting on the mountains and the moonlight rippling on the lake. Unbelievable views!
- The condo is very spacious and filled with light. Wood burning fireplace, outside deck, new bathroom with tiled shower, full kitchen with granite counters, bedroom with king sized bed, wood floors and numerous Adirondack features to make you feel surrounded by comfort and beauty. Every convenience for your enjoyment.
- Downtown Lake Placid is 2 miles away with shops, restaurants, galleries, a movie theatre, the Olympic Arena, the horse show fairgrounds, ski jump and bobsled run. Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away at Whiteface Mountain. Two supermarkets and shops are 1 mile from the condo making this location both very convenient as well as very rural, set in the Adirondack Park.
- We hold a Lake Placid Short Term Rental Certificate, # STR- 200036. This certificate must be renewed on a yearly basis by meeting standards set forth by the town.
- Cape Air flies to Saranac Lake Airport, 8 miles from the condo. Direct flights several times a day from Boston. The flight is a little over an hour and costs approx. $150 round-trip. Unbelievable!!!
FYI: We have a second condo on the Whiteface Club and Resort property that is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It's ADK By Owner Listing # is VR 9588.

“Dancing Bear condo is absolutely fabulous! The owner has thought of everything to make your stay a memorable one. The unit is exceptionally clean. The cooking utensils are top notch and plentiful. Plenty of dishes and glassware. It is wonderfully furnished with very comfortable furniture. The unit has been updated in charming Adirondack decor. We used the gas grill for cooking a couple of nights and it couldn't have been any better! The shower is large with plenty of hot water. We also used the washer and dryer which allowed us to have clean clothes! There is no better place to spend a vacation than at the "Dancing Bear" condo. Hopefully we'll return soon!”

“My Husband and I recently stayed in the Dancing Bear Condo. We had a Wonderful Time! The Owner has thought of Everything and has made the Condo a Very Comfortable Place to Stay for a Couple. The Condo is very Convenient to the Town and the Attractions. We went Skiing, went Snowmobiling, Visited Montreal and Shopped in Lake Placid, along with Dining in Some of the Wonderful Restaurants nearby. We are going to tell our Friends about the Condo and also plan to return to the Condo at another time. Great Thing about the Condo is that Lake Placid is a Year Round Town. Always something to do Any Time of the Year! ”

The location is a combination of wilderness and luxury, with endless trails, lakes and mountains right out the door, plus fabulous restaurants, shops and every convenience. You two did many varied things while you were there, including a trip to Montreal which is very nearby. I always bring my passport along for this reason. Please come again.”

“We had a fantastic time in Lake Placid; mostly because of our stay in this condo! We felt very at home in the condo and immediately loved the decor and the atmosphere when we arrived. It was warm and comfortable and felt like home! We were impressed by all the amenities that were provided. It was all of the small details that made it feel special. We really enjoyed our visit to Lake Placid and will hopefully be back soon. I have no hesitations about recommending this condo to others and would definitely stay there again.”

“We enjoyed staying in this wonderful condo for our vacation. It was just as discribed and had everything needed to make our stay pleasant. It was very clean and well kept. We loved the convience of being close to town but not in the middle of all the traffic. The resort next to the community was wonderful for evening walks. The condo's decor made us feel right at home and the location was perfect. We will be back!”
