Beautiful and tastefully decorated mountain chalet has 3 enclosed bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a pull-out couch for overflow --comfortably sleeps 6 adults. Now also has Wi-Fi (high speed) and cable TV!

Located on a quiet, country lane this pristine A-Frame is located in Ausable Acres in the village of Jay, NY on 1.2 private wooded acres and backs up to Clark Mountain. You can enjoy miles of …x-country ski trails and the Ausable river are within walking distance from the chalet. Downhill skiers only have to drive 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain. Shopping, spas, golf and other activities abound in the Olympic city of Lake Placid which is a comfortable16 mile drive, guaranteeing there is sure to be something for everyone.

Picture yourself relaxing in front of the wood burning fireplace-with wood provided- after a long day of skiing, hiking or just enjoying the peace.

There is a great open floor plan with each bedroom on a separate floor. Fully stocked kitchen, dining area and living room along with one bedroom (with huge California King bed) and one full bathroom located on the second floor. A foyer, second living room and a gas stove, bedroom (Queen bed) and full bathroom are on first floor. Loft and enclosed third bedroom with twin beds is on the third floor. Wonderful airy sunlit loft perfect for reading or enjoying a cup of coffee.

All linens and towels included in the price of your rental! Hair dryers, coffee machine, microwave oven, radios and other basic essentials are also provided.

A 52" flat screen with HDTV and cable is located in the main living area with surround sound music system ... DVD players are available in case you prefer to make it a movie night.

A second living room area is available downstairs with 32" tv and separate DVD player which offers ideal flexibility for families or groups.

An outside charcoal grill along with a full kitchen makes any meal a possibility.

Three day minimum for high periods..

Weekly stays include 7 nights (Friday to Friday or Sunday to Sunday) and guests may request check in/check out date based on availability. Weekly rentals are limited to one Saturday night stay, but may be combined for additional nights for longer stays:

*** Friday and Saturday (non holiday) -- $225.00 a night
*** Sunday thru Thursday (non-holiday) -- $200 a night
*** Minimum Holiday Stay (3 nights): -- Please discuss with owner.
*** Weekly Rental: $1,250.00

Meet the Owner(s)

About Us: My husband, daughter and I are Americans living in Montreal, Canada. When we discovered that the beautiful ADK Mountains were an easy 2 hour drive from Montreal, we bought our rustic cabin in the woods and have enjoyed countless weekends of skiing, biking, hiking and pure enjoyment. In 2010 we bought the Scenic Point Chalet. It has been such a pleasure meeting so many like minded, interesting and active people who also appreciate the beauty of the region.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Jay: Jay,NY is secluded without being too far away from the conveniences of home. It is beautiful and breathtaking every season of the year! Also an easy drive to Whiteface Mountain (Wilmington) and the famous Lake Placid ... but don't forget about Ausable Chasm, Keene and the High Peaks, Santa's Village etc. It is a playground of things to do every season of the year.

Why our property is special: The Scenic Point Chalet is a rustic retreat. We fell in love with its multiple levels and two living areas which allows two families to have privacy or even better, for the adults to enjoy the upstairs living area and the kids downstairs. Lots of well-designed 'space'. There is also something warm and inviting about the chalet's ambiance, especially when the fire is roaring. Located on an acre of land and backing up to Clark Mountain, you will feel remote while still having access to essentials
