“We enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Abanakee through the large window in the main room and the kitchen. Listening to the loons in the early morning hours was magical. The eagle and osprey in a battle over the lake was dramatic just at dawn. We took the rowboat out to explore the lake too. All the neighbors are friendly and we had a great time during our stay in the cottage Thanks for sharing your home with us. ”

“Spent a great week in August at the camp. Weather fantastic, few bugs. Kitchen very nice (important factor when in vacation mode) and views great. Fishing moderate but caught some nice size pike and bass, quality over quantity indeed.
Looking forward to another trip.......

“After losing our Adirondack rental that we have been going to for years, I came across this listing in our 11th hour. I have to say the owners were very accommodating, and the home was absolutely perfect for our needs and our financial means. A large, clean, home with every amenity you would come to expect in a summer home rental, and then some! The lake was just beautiful and the fishing was amazing! We definitely plan on returning next year and every year going forward. We hope to make this our new tradition going forward. Thank you Tara and Mike for the opportunity to share your home!”

“We stayed for a week in August of 2012 and we had a great time. We have 3 children and they all had a great time swimming off the dock, fishing or exploring the lake in the row boat. It was peaceful with beautiful views each evening. We found driving to local places of interest easy from here and having a cozy, quiet place to come home to at night was the best part. The nights got chilly so bringing extra blankets is recommended. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed meeting the little chimpmunk who liked to come up to us when we were outside at the picnic table.
Thank you for sharing your home with us! We look forward to coming back there next time we visit the Adirondacks!

“What a great place and a wonderful value. The house has a large living room and nice big kitchen-
with a great view of the lake. Very clean. We saw a Bald Eagle and 3 Deer. Thank you for opening

“We were there last February. I forgot about writing a review until recently thinking of this place again. We LOVED it! A perfect cozy and quiet get-a-way! Very clean with a great view of the Lake...for watching folks ice fish. A spacious and colorful kitchen and a very nice living room to play games, watch movies or simply stare out at the lake! We hope to go there again some day!”

“just spent a week in this cottage.I wish we could have stayed longer,great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and the wild life.The fishing is possibly the best I have encountered in the high peaks. ”

“Great Location and Price. My family and i had a wonderful time. House is exactly how it looks in the pictures. How is basic and well kepted. Nothing extravagant, Just what we were looking for in the Adironacks. Planning on going back this summer! ”
