The Tap Room serves the best burgers, homemade soups, clams, etc, and hosts the famous Fish fry Fridays. WW Durant, our cruise line, offers the best dinner, lunch, scenic cruises.
Why our property is special: Our property offers a quiet, private vacation in a central location of the ADKS. Guests with children especially love our private beach with a gazebo facing Blue Mountain. It's a nice sandy, gradual walkout with a swimming platform in the deep part. The rock wall on the left and back of our home is very unique. Our home offers all the amenities of home in ADK style.

“Wonderful Raquette Lake Cabin! We stayed at Carla's place over New Years and it was wonderful. The Cabin is cozy and comfortable, plenty of bedrooms and space to relax. We were two families with five small children who loved sledding down to the lake and playing in the fenced backyard. Carla is super responsive and extremely accommodating. House has everything you need to feel at home and we're already planning our next trip to this wonderful cabin. ”

“A Magical Place in the Time of Coronavirus I rented Quiet Time with My adult children and a toddler and a baby. We decided to expand our bubble for some much needed family time. The entire experience was amazing. We loved the house and the beach. The house itself is charming and secluded. The beach was great for all of us. We had an amazing time and we are all looking forward to our next trip to Quiet Time ”

“A vacation of a lifetime! This Adirondack furnished, secluded camp was a perfect fit. All the amenities to make our week away complete. I have 5 year old twin boys, who had the pleasure of making the first of many annual memories at the The four seasons Antler vacation home, Quiet Time. The convenience of the private beach a minute walk from camp and oversized playing field. We experienced volleyball, frisbee, kickball and relay races. Such a lovely safe location we were even able to tent camp one night in the open play lot. For a night off of cooking we all enjoyed fresh homemade soups, sandwiches, fries and burgers at the Tap room, just a few minutes from camp. Quiet Time, Clean, roomy and all the comforts away from home. A must! Enjoy. ”

“Thank you for staying at our home. So happy the boys first ADK experience was a great one!”

“From the moment I arrived i knew we had chosen the right place. It was quiet and secluded yet close enough to town and marina. The home is fully equipped so all you have to bring is food. The outdoor deck is perfect for late night fireside chatting and looking at stars. Dont forget your s'mores stuff. Wood is even supplied! Oh did i forget to mention a gas grill too. The property is close to the private beach. Literally a 3 minute walk. It has a sandy beach and area for little ones to swim. For the big kids and adults there's a floating platform for tanning and jumping in. Im a walker and the round trip from house thru town to route 28 is 5.5 miles and is up and down for a great workout if u choose. The local store has anything you may have forgotten and a butcher on site, ice cream stand and lots of other goodies. The local pub, The Tap Room, offers amazing burgers and to die for onion rings among other items. All homemade. I really cant say enough about my vacation. at Quiet Time and Raquette Lake. I will definitely be returning. ”

“My family and I have rented Quiettime for the last three summers. We enjoy the home-away-from home feel of the rental. It has many amenities that are very convenient like laundry, television (for those rainy days), and all of the room to sleep. The hill climb up to the house can be alittle daunting but your legs get use to it. For the price we pay, this rental exceeds our needs and we will continue to rent.”

“We have rented at Quiet Time for the last few summers. We love it there! The whole house is decorated in ADK style. The kitchen is fully furnished. Both family rooms are cozy. There is a beautiful view of Blue Mountain. We've had breakfast on the private patio. It's the perfect spot for our family. We have also stayed at Quiet Time in the fall and spring with friends. It's nice to sit by the fire on cool evenings. Can't wait to come back :)”

“We recently visited Raquette Lake & spent two nights at Quiet Time for our anniversary. It was the most cozy Adirondack home we have ever stayed in!! We LOVED that in every room there were so many unique Adirondack style decorations & furnishings to admire. Each of the four quaintly decorated bedrooms had comfortable furnishings, making it hard to decide which room to stay in. There were many extra pillows, blankets, linens & towels...everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect!! Another great feature of this home is the fully equipped kitchen for cooking any meal. The kitchen has everything you could possibly think of and the owner of the home provided some drinks, food & necessities for us that helped to make our stay even better! The gorgeous views from the house along with a wonderful backyard with fire pit, deck, table & chairs make this house such a special place to visit. We took a lovely walk down to the beach, which was a great way to start our morning, and the views of the mountains from the beach were amazing to see!! We definitely hope to bring our family & friends to Quiet Time sometime soon!! This home has comfortable accommodations for several people to stay and it was truly the most beautiful, relaxing place!! We felt so at home here...it was very bittersweet to have to leave such a lovely place. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!”

“Carla, Thanks so much for sharing your vacation home with us again! Love the new carpet downstairs and some of the new "furnishings". Your place is always just so relaxing. My favorite room is the one with the fireplace, with the window overlooking the lake; I could sit in there for hours. Had a great time as usual; thanks again! Kelly”

“Quiet time is just as advertised, we had wonderful time. We were lucky that the weather cooperated and was beautiful. The home decorated just as shown in the pictures. Plenty of things for all ages to do. Our family lives together for one week during the summer to just enjoy one another. We went to the beach daily and usually had it to ourselves. Two of the families went to Water Safari and had a wonderful time. We went shopping in Old Forge. Carla was very nice and helpful. Carla thank you for letting us rent your home! Carla ”

“Carla, This is probably the fourth time we have stayed at "Quiet Time", and just cannot say enough about the cottage or you. Without a doubt it is the best cottage we have stayed at in the adirondacks, and I have been coming there for over thirty years, and stayed at many places, but none as "perfect" as Quiet Time. We just love the privacy and peacefulness of it all. You are always so very helpful with any questions we have or anything we need. Your cottage is always so clean and comfortable with any/every amenity anyone would want. There are plenty of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, towels, linens, beds made when you arrive, etc. We've always had a large group of usually 10 people, and there is plenty of living room, and sleeping room. My favorite room is, I guess you would call it the "family room"; it is so quiet and peaceful in there, with a glimpse of the lake, the fireplace, and just to sit and read or whatever. We've had many good times out by the fire pit at night, and many fun times down at the gorgeous beach. I love swimming out to the floating dock. My kids love the kayaks; and with the docking space provided now, if needed, it is perfect for anyone with a boat. The view of Blue Mountain from your beach is unbelievable. Even just walking around the roads or taking a walk into town is a treat (especially when you live in the city like we do). We will definitely be back to see you again!”

“Our family truley enjoyed this house. Carla was pleasant and very helpful during our stay. This is the perfect place to stay with children. The beach was awesome. A dock was provided for our boat. The beds were very comfortable, the house was very clean. On rainy days there were plenty of games and puzzles to keep the kids occupied. The back patio was perfect for evenings and a fire. In the 30 years of renting on Raquette Lake this by far exceeded our expectations. The only down fall is we couldn't stay longer. Thank you again. Can't wait for next year. A+++++”

“Our NY and VT families meet up each January for a snow shoeing weekend in the Adirondacks, and Quiet Time cabin was our 4th location and certainly the best accommodations we have had yet! The house is unique in that it is built on and surrounded by a huge rock outcropping. It overlooks the lake in a forested area that must be teeming with cabin campers in the summer, but was quiet in the winter. At the house, there was plenty of everything we needed, from blankets and pillows to high chairs to plates for our large group (6 adults, 3 young kids). We were cozy next to the fireplaces and enjoyed making great meals in the spacious kitchen. The house is fully stocked with games, books, and plush moose toys for the kids (and my aunt loved the ADK style). Plus, our interactions with the owner were pleasant and easy -- she even mailed my left-behind earrings to me within days of our departure. The tiny village (hamlet?) of Raquette Lake, less than 5 minutes away from the house on snowy roads, is darling. It is lively even in winter thanks to the Tap Room and WW Durant, and the slew of snowmobiling folks that those restaurants attract during the day. It is also a good location for visiting close by towns like Blue Mountain Lake, Long Lake (we went to their winter festival), and Inlet. We found several family-friendly snow shoe trails within a few miles of the house. Lots to do here in the winter!”

We love that you don't have to bring anything but clothing and food, everything else is provided. The owner has it decorated beautifully with quality furnishings and personal touches. Great place!”

“We have rented Quiet Time both in the summer and winter. The home is extremely well kept with beautiful furnishings that give you the feel of the Adirondacks. I love that I don't have to pack up a car load of sheets, towels, household items, etc! Everything and more is at Quiet Time. We love the privacy and the rock. In the winter, it is extremely cozy when you have the woodstove and fireplace burning. Just far enough away from the tourist areas but close enough to frequent if desired. The kids love the beach and we loved that it was private with few people on the beach even in July. Very clean, great owner, and truly quiet! ”

“We have been coming to the ADKs for over 30 years...always in the summer...and we LOVE the Raquette Lake area. This year we decided to come up in the winter but needed a place to stay that wasn't 'camping'. We found it in Quiet Time. This place is beautiful, clean, fully set up for a relaxing stay. Everything you could need is provided at Quiet Time...linens, kitchen wares...games...books (I read one cover to cover!)...EVERYTHING! As we were there in the winter we could only use the 'beach' area to get out onto the frozen Lake...but that was an awesome and exciting experience. The only thing I would suggest is if you are coming in the winter...bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you can as the driveway is very steep...we got stuck but a friendly neighbor helped us out! So...we will be back to enjoy Quiet Time in seasons when we prefer NOT to camp... Thank you to the owners for providing such a beautiful and welcoming place to go...”

“Thanks Donna for your kind comments and for staying with us. Sorry I forgot to recommend that you park at the bottom of the driveway. I typically ask in the winter about type of vehicle. Glad you got to read one of the great books! Thanks again. Carla”

“Quiet Time has been a home away from home for me over the past several years. Having rented it more times than I can recall, I've walked away from each experience feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Ideally located, it satisfies a myriad of vacation preferences. From my high-impact hiking, biking, kayaking, golfing, white water rafting, zip-line adventure course vacation week with longtime friends, to a lower-impact shopping, boating, walking, wine-tasting, karaoke weekend retreat with coworkers. (My staff liked it so much they asked to take an extra day off work "next year" because the weekend went by too quickly!) Whatever the itinerary, Quiet Time is a comfortable, reasonably priced place to unwind. The kitchen has all the dishes & utensils needed to prepare simple or elegant meals with seasonal fruits & veggies from the farmers market. (I still like to bring my sharp knives and Riedel wine glasses though.) Or, fire up the grill in back, light the tiki candles and throw on some juicy steaks from the Raquette Lake General Store. Don't feel like cooking? Drive down the hill and try the homemade soups from the Tap Room. If the weather isn't ideal during your visit, start the wood burning stove and watch one of the dozens of DVDs on the big, flat-screen TV or pull out a few of the old Milton-Bradley & Mattel games. (I hadn't played Ker-Plunk in years!) While the kids watch the move, escape to the rocking chair by the open window in the second living room, curl up with a good book, hot cup of tea and breathe in the crisp Adirondack air. Pinch me back to reality!! Simply reminiscing about Quiet Time takes me to a serene, therapeutic place everyone should experience; a place where stress dissipates from the body quickly replaced by the intended equilibrium of life . . . but you have to turn off your smart phones & computers in order to experience it . . . fully.”

“Julie, thank you for the kind words. We enjoy having the group from Salvation Army each year! See you again soon. Carla”

“Quiet Time is such a lovely escape for us. For starters, it lives up to its name--it is quiet. And the interior is warm and comfortable and meticulously decorated with great care and a clear love of the Adirondacks. We've stayed several times a year in all seasons, and always find the place in beautiful condition. The house has a warm way of feeling like home rather than feeling like you're "visiting" or at someone else's house. We've enjoyed countless hours relaxing in the back during warm times of year, and it's always so nice to walk out the door, see Raquette Lake in all its glory and be able to drink it in without all the noise, noise, noise of everyday life. The house itself has everything you need to enjoy your stay, two cozy living rooms, a kitchen that is big enough to have fun cooking in, and good-sized dining area to enjoy a visit or two from some local friends. The owner is a pleasure to deal with, and we can honestly say that at Quiet Time and in Raquette we feel like we're in the only place in the world where time slows down, and a week feels like a week, not two days. We can't recommend Quiet Time strongly enough. It's just the perfect place. ”

“This rental is a simply a gem and a must if you are looking to get away to your own little version of "On Golden Pond". I rented it for a week during the warm season of 2006 and we had a blast. My sister and her 3 kids came as well as my cousin and his wife and their 2 kids came. My dad joined us as well. We all had a great time and took many memorable pictures of all the neat stuff we did at the house and on the lake. We rented a pontoon boat as well as a little fishing boat and everyone always had something to do. We also had use of the kayaks that came with the rental which was very nice as well. This house comes complete with everything you could ever need. We enjoyed fun cook outs and had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The 5 kids were in heaven and loved the lake and everything to see and do and when we needed them at the house (they had to stop to eat) they loved this house and had a blast in their own living room! The adults also loved it and I was amazed at how much I felt I was getting for my money (when compared to a hotel stay at say a tourist location). To top it off Raquette Lake is the coolest little town with it's own general store and there's even a bar and grill if you don't want to BBQ. The lake and the water is so beautiful and clean. Well, that's my 2 cents. RT (Liverpool, NY) ”
