“Our family had a wonderful stay at this house on a long fall weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and dine, the beds were comfortable, the downstairs provided a nice retreat while a group watched a football game, and the large living room was cozy for evening reading. The surrounding area provided plenty to do. It was a very cozy and relaxing weekend!”

“This past February 2021, my family had a fantastic vacation at Legacy House. It was simply one of my favorite weeks in a long time. Our family had such a wonderful time downhill skiing at Gore and Whiteface, cross-country skiing at Garnett Hill (and searching for Garnetts at the old mine), ice skating at a park near your cabin, sledding and tubing, hiking around the area, and building snow forts. Our meals together every evening around the spacious table were a highlight as was the evening time for reading in front of the gorgeous fireplace. We had a ping pong and foosball tournament too. Sadly my team lost. The basement was the perfect place for our family to have some evening recreation after a day out in the cold. The cabin is so beautiful. It is obvious the owner is seeing to care for the building well. After what was an extremely stressful winter, having that time together as a family was rejuvenating. We were grateful for the privilege it was to rent Legacy Lodge. We had a memorable and delightful family vacation.”

“Just returned from a weeks stay at Legacy House. Could not have been a more perfect stay. The house had everything needed for a comfortable week. The kitchen was fully equipped, lots of wood for cozy fires, plenty of games for amusement and the best was only a 15 minute walk to access the Garnet Hill ski trails. Snow conditions were amazing. After feeling like we've been locked up for a year life felt normal again. I would definitely stay here again!”

“My family of 5 (3 teenage boys) stayed at the Legacy house for two nights during the winter 2020. The house itself was well suited for our needs. Although there are many things to do in the area, we would have been content to stay home the entire time! They had plenty of board games as well as foosball and ping pong to keep us occupied. The kitchen was well appointed and organized. The house was clean, offering up coziness and spaciousness all at the same time. We can't wait to return in the summer to take advantage of all of the activities in the area. ”

“My family rented The Legacy House at Garnet Hill this Christmas for a week. We have been bringing our children up to Garnet Hill Lodge for cross country skiing since the early 1980's and it is a favorite location for our entire family and now....for our extended family which includes our four grandchildren. It was our first time to have Christmas away from home and since we are all together only every other Christmas, we wanted it to be special. It was in every way! The owner was very easy to work with (and very patient with all the questions and emails I sent!) and the accommodations worked out great with our family of twelve. We felt the cottage had everything we needed and the rental fee was very affordable. Everyone loved it! And our grandchildren especially loved the lower level with their own sleeping quarters (six bunk beds!) and a game room. We were fortunate that many of the trails were groomed at Garnet Hill so that despite the weather our family was able to cross country ski and snowshoe in great conditions! It was a magical Christmas away from home....simple, relaxed, layed back! Just what we all needed and looked forward to! So blessed to have found The Legacy House and to have had this time away for Christmas with our entire family!! ”
