Escape from everyday life with a vacation at our Loon Lake Cabin in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. The possibilities are endless. Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking or just relaxing while taking in the views of the mountains. A sandy beach with your own canoe, rowboat and 2 kayaks (one single, one double) is just a few feet away. The beach is good for swimming and launching small boats. Paddles, oars and life jackets are provided. THERE IS NO DOCK, nor is it acceptable to "beach" a …boat at our shared beach; if you plan on bringing a boat to Loon Lake, you will have to find appropriate docking (The Loon Lake Marina has limited slips available for short-term use). Just around the corner is another larger, swimming beach, owned and operated by the town of Chestertown, with a lifeguard, play area and boat ramp.
The cabin is located at the end of a dead-end private dirt road that sees little to no traffic. The rear is wooded and has a campfire area (wood provided). The cabin is not lake front, but sits just one house in. It is a true log cabin with a vaulted wood ceiling and knotty pine interior.
The main floor of the cabin is a combination living room, kitchen and dining area, opening to a sunny deck in the front, with filtered views of Loon Lake. The kitchen is clean, very well equipped and includes a microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and blender. A gas (propane) grill is located outside. There are two bedrooms, both having queen-size beds with new memory foam mattresses. Also on the main floor is a full bath with a tub/shower, large sectional couch, and stereo system which can accommodate mp3/ipod/etc inputs. From the main floor, there is a ladder that goes to the sleeping loft. The loft is accessible to nimble adults and older children. There are flat screen TV's in each bedroom as well as a flat screen TV with DVD player and Roku receiver downstairs in the rec center.
The lower level consists of a Rec Room with two full size, futon style, sleep sofas. There is a TV with DVD player and Roku receiver, full size pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball table and numerous board games. Also located on this level are a washer and dryer and a half bath.
Cell phone service is good and we do have high speed Wi-Fi and Internet access.

“Our family had the best long weekend getaway at this beautiful rental. The house was very clean upon arriving and provided tons of indoor activities when the weather was not in our favor. Owners were very accommodating--will be returning :)”

“Loon Lake Log Cabin is a comfortable, spacious, very clean, and well appointed rental for a very reasonable price. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped with everything you need. The living area is large with a very comfortable couch and the bedrooms provided comfortable beds with air conditioners. Downstairs provides all kinds of entertainment with a pool table, ping pong table, games, DVD player, etc. The location is quiet and just a few steps away from a lovely, shared sandy beach. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and hearing the sounds of the loons. The owner was very communicative and helpful both before and during our stay. I highly recommend the cabin, particularly to families with kids/teenagers who would make use of the loft and enjoy all of the provided amenities. ”

“The cabin was clean, cozy, and well appointed. The location was central to several things we wanted to see. We especially enjoyed using the boats and the game room. The fire pit out back was fun for roasting marshmallows. Between the games and boats and sleeping loft, it is a great choice for families. ”

“We spent a wonderful week at the Loon Lake Log Cabin. We found everything to be as described. The kitchen was well equipped, with the exception of an ice cream scoop. The weather turned very cool and we were happy for heat in the bedrooms. There were plenty of warm blankets and quilts also. The notebook with information about the cabin and the Loon Lake area was complete and interesting. There were also many brochures for area attractions. At this time of year several of the local restaurants are closed but we expected that to be the case. Cleaning supplies were plentiful. We enjoyed the activity room and would have liked to use the boats but it was too cold. We would like to return in the summer season.”
Owner's Response
“Ice cream scoop will be purchased. Thanks for the suggestion!”

“We just came back from a weekend at the cabin. We had the best time. The owner was very responsive and helpful . He replied promptly to every communication that was sent. He also checked in after arrival by text to make sure that everything was in order . The house was very clean and well stocked . We had a fabulous time playing ping pong and foosball in the basement game room. We also spent a lot of time at the firepit as well as down at the beach paddling on the lake with the kayaks and canoe. It was definitely a relaxing and affordable weekend away from home. Would highly recommend this rental! ”

“Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at the Loon Lake cabin. The cabin was spacious, very clean and comfortable for us. Our kids especially loved having the basement with many games to occupy them. Location is excellent with a very short walk to a sandy, clean beach. Communication with the owner was easy and smooth, and when I accidentally left one of my belongings in the cabin he went out of his way to ship it back to me which is very much appreciated. We have been visiting Loon Lake for 10 years at various rentals, and this visit was one of our best. We hope to stay again in the future. ”

“We had a great stay at Loon Lake, we have stayed in this area in the past, but the beach was perfect for fishing, floating, kayaking and sunbathing. The house had everything you needed to cook with and was very clean. We had a group of kids, all ages and they never complained about not having enough to do. Between the beach and all the games in the basement, they were plenty busy. We enjoyed the firepit daily and the very private back yard. We hiked all the trails we could in the week we were there, a Chestertown Challenge is posted and was super fun every morning, Kipp Mountain and Stewart Mountain are a 3 minute drive and great family hikes. The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. I highly recommend this place. We hope to be back next year!!! ”

“Had a very good time at this cute cabin right near the lake. Very short walk made it easy to watch the sunrise over the lake (when it did). We unfortunately experienced almost nothing but rain, so we were mostly holed up playing games and trying to convince ourselves we were getting better at pool (spoiler: we weren't). With darts, foosball, pool, ping pong, and a bunch of board games, there was plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained when we were stuck inside due to the weather. We did manage to get out on the lake briefly to kayak and definitely appreciated access to the boat to get to see more of Loon Lake. It's definitely a good spot to rent for a group of friends or family. ”

“We had an awesome week at Loon Lake Log Cabin. The cabin was as pictured-only better. It was clean and comfortable for our family. As soon as we walked in, we felt at home. We took advantage of the game room downstairs creating many laughter filled memories, enjoyed evening fires in the firepit, and spent a lot of time on the lake kayaking and canoeing. The beach is just a minute or 2 walk down the road. The owners were a pleasure to work with answering email and text questions promptly and thoroughly. We highly recommend Loon Lake Log Cabin and are looking forward to our return.”

“We just wrapped up our stay at this lovely cabin and couldnt be more pleased. The owner was always available to answer any questions we had. The cabin was charming, well appointed, and immaculately clean. The beautiful, sandy (no rocks) beach is just steps away, and the fire pit area is fantastic. Loon Lake is a nice kayaking experience, not too many boulders to navigate. The call of the Loons in the morning was magical, as always. There are some nice hikes in the area as well. We had great fun in the downstairs game room. Make sure you have dinner at The Place down the road, excellent food! We enjoyed our stay so much, we already booked next year! Cant wait to return!”

“We loved our stay in Loon Lake. The cabin was the perfect size and the kids loved the loft area for sleeping. The downstairs provided tons of fun for all. The house had several table games as well as a nice selection of board games. The beach was very close and had several small boating options. The fire pit in the backyard, was a big hit for smores and late night campfires...The owners provided a binder of things to do and directions to local hot spots. The kids favorite part was the small hikes we took and the "black hole", a local diving/swimming area (very cool). It was a very relaxing week”

“This was our second stay at the Loon Lake Log Cabin and everything about our two week getaway was perfect. The owners are wonderful to work with, very hospitable, and communication leading up to and through our stay was helpful. We love the location of this cabin and took advantage of the private beach, canoe, and kayaks. The lake is the perfect size for exploring, swimming, fishing, and peaceful evening kayaking. The guidebooks in the cabin provided us with lots of ideas for exploring the area. We loved our hikes up Stewart and Kipp Mountains and around Palmer Pond. Exploring Trout Brook in Pottersville was a great way to beat the heat. The cabin itself is spacious, very clean, well kept, and has plenty of amenities (e.g., bedroom AC, reliable internet/cable, well-stocked kitchen supplies, propane grill, game room, etc.). We are looking forward to future Loon Lake vacations at this cabin in the years to come. ”

“The cabin was perfect for our Adirondacks visit! We loved having access to the canoe and kayaks, being able to sit around a campfire at night, while still having all the conveniences of a comfortable and well-equipped house. The location was a great base to explore the area. We participated in the Chester Challenge (which encouraged the kids to do more hikes than usual!) and we hiked/scrambled up Crane Mountain. The local spots mentioned in the cabin handbook were a real treat - and much appreciated, thank you. We would never have known some of these magical places existed otherwise. The kids loved the games room downstairs, especially on the rainy day, which helped make this vacation one of the most relaxing and restorative holidays we've ever had. Thank you to the owners for providing this house. We highly recommend it.”

“Our family enjoyed this lovely house, with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The porch and the rec room on the bottom level were a big hit. We hiked two short trails to lovely views...both located within a mile or two of the house. There are a lot of motor boats on Loon Lake so we went up to Putnam Pond State Park one day and rented kayaks there. It was beautiful. ”

“Our family of six had a great time at the cabin! Loon Lake is a gem, a small gorgeous lake with clear, beautiful water, which was especially warm this summer! The cabin was perfect for us. We especially appreciated the game room. My kids spent A LOT of time playing ping pong. We also appreciated the games provided, the wonderful fire pit in the backyard, the abundance of firewood, and the short distance to the beach, where we enjoyed meeting new people, kayaking and canoeing, and of course, swimming. The loft provides a lot of extra sleeping space, and my kids loved it. A minor thing- but upon leaving, we appreciated being able to leave unopened ice cream in the freezer for the next family, hopefully, to enjoy. On vacation, one tends to overindulge in goodies and without that option, the food would have been wasted. We went on a couple of excursions recommended in the binder at the cabin, including the Black Hole, where the kids enjoyed cliff jumping, and a short, easy hike up Stewart Mountain, not more than a mile down the road. We also spent a day hiking into the Pharoah Lake Wilderness, which is beautiful, serene, quiet, and if you go after an evening rain, full of little red newts! The boys did a lot of fishing while my daughter and I languidly floated around the lake in our tubes. The cabin was a great home base for a lot of Adirondack adventures. Chestertown is charming, and we enjoyed the Wednesday morning farmer's market in the town center. My only suggestion would be for the HOA to go in together and get a floating dock for the beach. My kids said, "Every beach has a floating dock except this one!" The neighboring HOA and family to the right of the beach (not that I blame them) were not into sharing their docks. We were also a little frustrated that the family who owned the dock on the beach had SO MANY boats floating right in our swimming space. All in all, a great week was had by all! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the cabin to anyone looking for an authentic Adirondack vacation.”
Owner's Response
“We sincerely apologize for the absence of a floating dock for swimming/jumping. The previous dock was deemed unsafe and removed earlier in the season. Our hope is to have the dock replaced in the near future, however there has been some red tape involved, but hopefully by next season the dock will be replaced.”

“We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this beautiful lake cabin. Well priced for the amenities provided and the location to the water. Was very comfortable and even had air conditioners in the 2 main bedrooms, which were great on a couple of hot humid nights. The loft was great for the grandkids, and the downstairs was an awesome game room with 2 futons. Great fire pit and grill in back. Short walk to the small beach area, which would've been even better if there was a floating dock for the kids to jump off of. Beach area was never really crowded, and everyone was so friendly. Home is in a calm cove area, so just floating in water, or kayaking was enjoyable, (no dock available for your boat). So close to hiking trails, and the many other attractions available in the area. Perfect place for a family vacation. The owners were a pleasure to work with!”

“We enjoyed our stay at Loon Lake. This cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. The game room is great for evenings, as is the fire pit. We appreciated the use of the canoe and kayaks. The cabin is a great base camp for days of hiking, sightseeing, and eating at one of the nearby restaurants. We were happy to come "home" to the cabin after a day away exploring the area. The owners were pleasant to deal with and communication with them was easy. We would highly recommend the cabin.”

“Wonderful property, with very close proximity to the lake. Plenty of space to allow adults & children to co-mingle, but be separate when the time was right. Game room with TV, movies and cable in the bottom floor was perfect, not only for children, but adults looking for some fun (ping pong, pool, air hockey). Canoe & kayak readily available. Water was nice, warm, and clean, with semi-private beach area, including picnic table & fire pit. Outdoor fire pit behind property was used extensively (who wants to be inside in the summer!). Owners extremely flexible and friendly. Weather forecast was horrible for the 2nd half of our vacation week, and they allowed us to split our vacation, returning later in August to complete our week's stay. They had no obligation to do so, but out of the goodness in their hearts, accepted our request. Absolutely no negatives to share about this property or owners! We will be a regular visitor each summer!”

“This cabin is fantastic and incredibly relaxing! I only wish we could have stayed longer, and that the weather was a bit nicer so we could have used the fire pit. Nevertheless, we still had an incredible time. The game room downstairs was a lot of fun - there were 7 adults and we were all playing and competing like kids, and when it didn't rain, we were able to enjoy the lake and use the included canoes and kayaks and even the SUP for the first time! The cabin is very spacious and well stocked with all the necessities. The owners are very responsive and provide a lot of suggestions for places to visit and things to do. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back and explore the region some more! ”

“I will begin and end with the same theme....You will Not be disappointed if you decide to stay in this cozy cabin on Loon Lake! We have just returned from a glorious week and will look forward to a return, hopefully soon. We were with our three grandchildren (ages 10,8 & almost 7), along with our own two "kids" and one spouse. The grands immediately claimed the loft area and happily camped out there when bedtime called. The two bedrooms were very comfortable for the two couples and the lone adult snuggled into a futon on the lower level. The cabin itself is clean, well maintained and the kitchen is equipped with all the dishes, glassware, pots & pans and utensils you need. Oh, I can't forget to say, the well water is wonderful! Almost like sipping a good wine. Kids of all ages enjoyed the lower level with the assortment of games provided, as well as the TV and DVD. But, maybe our favorite place to gather was the fire pit snuggled into the pine forest in the back of the property, furnished with well seasoned fire wood. Yes, smores, songs and laughter surrounded us each evening. Although the cabin is not directly on the lake, within two minutes you can walk to a semi-private beach where we swam, launched our kayaks and canoe and just "hung out". Loon Lake and Chestertown are small enough where you don't get a sense of being crowded with tourists....that's a positive for us. The natives we met were all welcoming and engaging. And, you are an easy ride to a spectrum of ADK adventures if that is your desire. The owners are very responsive and make the entire rental process a breeze. If you have a concern, it will be taken care of quickly. Enough said! I will end with the words....You will NOT disappointed....Book your next ADK getaway soon and stay at this wonderful Loon Lake Log Cabin. Our grandchildren have already asked if we can come again next summer.”

“ We have a family of four with two teenagers. Absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed every moment! The location is perfectly situated near a private, shared beach (1 min walk), with mature forest and peeks of the lake from the front porch. The community itself is located in a very wooded and peaceful setting. Loon Lake is one of our favorite lake communities to visit in the Adirondacks. It is a great base camp to many adventures around the area. It was only about 25 minutes to Lake George for a day trip, 15 minutes to Adirondack Extreme Ropes and Ziplines (a teen must!). We visited the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves in Pottersville, which is only 15 to 20 minutes away also - very pretty and fun! The cabin was a great place to retreat and rest, grill and relax with games, or chill by the great firepit that is nestled in a wooded part of the backyard. Kayaking on Loon lake is relaxing and beautiful. The lake and area is quiet enough and not touristy, yet close enough to other places if the mood for more adventure strikes! The Cabin is a true log cabin, and appointed very nicely. Decorations are true to Adirondack style. It was clean and well stocked with all necessities. The loft was a favorite retreat for the teens after a busy day. The kitchen area was perfect for family night games too. The game room below is ideal for teens that need an outlet or for rainy days (thankfully we only had one). Good to see our kids playing together in friendly competition. Board games, ping pong/foosball/air hockey and pool, plus a good supply of DVD's for late nights. The owner had many suggestions and was quick to respond to questions. Owners left a list of things to do and places to visit, including some trails and swimming holes that we explored near us. The cabin was warm and inviting, and seems to encourage family to play together. We hope to be back again in the future! Good summer memories made here. ”

“We have stayed at Loon Lake Cabin several times, and have never been dissatisfied. A new owner has recently taken over the property and has maintained the same high standards as the previous owner. The cabin is clean, well equipped, and the adkbyowner pictures and description are accurate. The current owners are personally concerned with their guests having a positive experience. Instructions as to care of the home, WIFI, trash and recyclable disposal, use of facilities, etc. are clearly stated, and the owners provide telephone and email contact, should any problem arise. Not only is the cabin located very close to Loon Lake, but there are other attractions within a short driving distance. Some easy hiking trails are located immediately around the vicinity, and numerous trails ranging in level of difficulty are only a distance of one hour's driving or less from the property. After a day on a trail, the cabin is a pleasure to return home to. The fire pit out back is great for relaxing and enjoying a meal, snacks, and beverages. Rainy days are no problem, as the televisions, WIFI, and downstairs game room afford hours of activity. A number of restaurants are in the area, and the busy tourist towns of Lake George Village and Bolton Landing are less than one hour away. While our family likes to vary our vacation destinations year to year, Loon Lake Cabin is a favorite and we definitely plan to return in the future. ”

“We stayed in this cabin in July 2016. The cabin is very clean, updated and has all the amenities that one would need for an Adirondack getaway. The shared beach was a 1 minute walk away and we were the only one on the beach the entire week. Was a quiet peaceful week. I used the kayak every day to explore different parts of the lake, and there is also a canoe and row boat for your use. While I didn't personally use the game room, it would be great for kids (and adults alike). We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year!. “My husband and I along with our two boys ages 5 and 7 rented this cabin for Memorial Day weekend and it was exactly what we hoped it would be. The setting is private and lovely, though not remote. The house was clean and quite a bit bigger than we expected it to be, the beds VERY comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with any kitchen implement a person could want, plus a nice array of condiments and spices. The owners left a binder of things to do and local restaurant suggestions and we definitely referred to that (Sticks & Stones restaurant is really good). We hiked, canoed, swam, built an outdoor fire at night, and had the best time. The downstairs level of the cabin has a ping pong table and air hockey so our kids were in heaven. We would definitely rent this place again. The owner is prompt and very easy to deal with.”

“We stayed in the cabin in September and enjoyed every minute. The cabin is very well kept and perfect for a family. Pool table, ping pong and cable TV keep everyone busy on the rainy days when you can't go out on the lake. Close to the High Peaks, Lake George and Lake Placid for excellent day trips and access to lots of great restaurants. Wonderfully kept kitchen and a grill in the back yard make cooking in easy as well.”

“The cabin and property were awesome and location was perfect for us. We enjoyed all the amenities and were very comfortable there. The kids particularly enjoyed the games and sleeping (as well as hanging out) in the loft. It was nice to be so close to the lake for swimming and to have access to multiple water craft. The proximity to Lake George, Fort Ticonderoga and the rest of the Adirondacks served us well on our vacation. I would highly recommend this rental and would love to return for a stay again at some point in the future.”

“We have come to the Adirondacks for over 15 yrs., this is our second time renting this property, and we love it! This home is very comfortable and inviting, with plenty of room for family and friends. Loon Lake is a short walk down the dirt road, we bring our own kayaks and take advantage of the close proximity to the lake and the ability to launch right there! The owner also provides a sit atop kayak, rowoat and canoe for your use. Loon Lake is a beautiful clear lake, not too big, not too small with minimal boat traffic (at least while we were there). We enjoyed the local restaurants in Chestertown when not taking advantage of the well stocked kitchen or gas grill. When we did cook we loved to sit on the front deck under the umbrella to eat our meal. We also made use of the fire ring in the back yard with wood provided by the owner, what fun to make s'mores, look up and marvel and the star filled night sky. Sometimes, in the morning, if you are lucky, you can hear the loons on the lake and their distinctive call. We recommend renting this property and will definitely come back :)”

“Our family spent a week at the Loon Lake Log Cabin in late June. Leading up to our stay we appreciated how responsive and helpful the owner was at answering any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the cabin to be clean, well maintained, and equipped with everything we needed. During our stay we had the beach to ourselves and took advantage of the kayak, row boat, and canoe. The lake was perfect for early morning tours in the kayak and we caught some decent fish. In the evenings we enjoyed the use of the gas grill and the beautiful backyard fire pit. This is a great cabin in a beautiful area of the Adirondacks. We hope to make this a summer tradition.”

“Our week spent at Loon Lake Cabin was very enjoyable! We found the cabin to be very well equipped and very clean. Loon Lake Cabin offered all the amenities of home: dishwasher, washer, dryer, etc. The game room with the pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, etc. was a lot of fun. We especially enjoyed the beautiful surroundings; the lake that was so close and the wooded areas that we walked through many times during our stay. Kayaking on beautiful Loon Lake was spectacular! The nice, sandy beach was great and made it easy to put our kayaks in the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Loon Lake Cabin and would highly recommend it. ”

“"...and a gr8 time was had by all..." - that just about sums it up perfectly! We spent a glorious 8 days right at the end of the summer season together with our 9-yr-old and 12-yr-old daughters. Loon Cabin is a beautifully maintained property very close to the lake edge with every possible amenity - and then some! The lake is really picturesque, serene and, though not huge, large enough to really benefit from the row-boat, kayak and canoe for Loon Cabin guests usage. We all loved touring in and around the areas wonderful hiking and touring attractions - there's really loads to see and do pretty close by - for example, the Natural Stone Bridge attraction in Pottersville (to name but one) - highly recommended for all ages! The Cabin has the added feature of a great games room on the lower floor and our girls spent many an hour down there playing Ping-Pong, pool, air-hockey and, of-course, making use of the wii console! If asked, however, they would no doubt say that the highlight of our stay was when Mommy bravely went up to the loft area to play some board games and then was almost too petrified to climb back down again without some 'gentle' coaxing from everyone else!!!! Enough said..... Thanks again to the Murrays for a wonderful vacation.... We're sure to consider a return trip sometime in the future - especially if you can once again provide us with picture-perfect weather - thank you!! ”

“We just returned from our 3rd year staying at this wonderful log home cabin. It is in just the right setting nestled in the trees with an overlook to the lake. Just a short walk to the sandy beach area with swimming/canoe/kayak access. Very quiet and peaceful. The house has many amenities, including washer, dryer, pool table, ping pong, flat screen TV's...much, much more...we enjoyed cooking in and eating on the porch deck. The house is located in a perfect spot for the outdoorsy types there is plenty of ADK trails and streams to discover, or if you want to take a quick trip to Lake George it is 20 minutes away. Just as described, the house is very clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We love it so much, we keep coming back year after year...”

“We are very pleased that we rented the Loon Lake cabin. The cabin itself was very clean, modern and well equipped. Our family really enjoyed the use of the various watercraft provided with the rental, and the pool table and other games were a big hit. The fire pit was a nice place to finish the day in peace and quiet. The owner clearly takes great pride in the property, shows attention to to detail and is easy to communicate with during the rental process. I highly recommend this property. ”

“We had a great time at the lake - the cabin was awesome! Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The small beach area was perfect for our 4 year old. Even the weather was great with only one night of rain! It was a very relaxing week, I was even able to get a bit of fishing in and caught my first rainbow trout from Schroon River - beautiful colors! Having vacationed on Cape Cod for the past 25 + years, this was a nice change. We will definitely keep you in mind for next year! Thanks again for sharing your lake home! - Brad & Sharon Frazee”

“The Loon Lake Cabin was a pleasure to stay in for a week. The cabin was clean and well-equipped for everything we needed. The beach and lake were in easy walking distance which was so nice. We enjoyed the outdoor firepit! It was nice to be able to get away and experience the quiet in such a wonderful cabin and surroundings! Our 3 boys had so much fun. Thanks so much! ”

“My husband and I just finished a wonderful week at Loon Lake Log cabin. We enjoyed the short walk to the quiet beach and ate many a meal on the deck. The cabin is decorated nicely and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment to cook tasty meals if that is your desire. The owner recommended good restaurants in the area as well if you prefer not to cook. The queen beds on the main level were very comfortable, and although we didn't spend a lot of time downstairs in the finished basement, that has many games to play on a rainy day. We brought our own kayaks and spent many hours exploring Loon Lake which is relatively quiet compared to other lakes. The owner provides a canoe, a sit upon sea kayak and rowboat which are easily accessible at the beach. We would definitely rent this cabin again! ”

“My husband, two kids (ages 8 and 6) and I just returned from a few days on Loon Lake. The weather wasn't great and this cabin REALLY saved us! We all enjoyed the game room on the lower level and the boys were thrilled to watch the Yankee games on the enormous television on the main level. The kitchen was well equipped and I made most of our meals there. We did use the fire pit in the back yard to make s'mores one evening. The whole house was really clean and updated which made it all the more comfortable. The decor was inviting and entertaining. On the one sunny day, we thoroughly enjoyed the beach. We played in the sand, went boating in the kayak and canoe, and swam. I especially loved drinking my morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the tall pine trees and the lake. I also enjoyed hearing the loons late at night. On the rainy days, we played in the game room, spent a few hours in Lake George Village (which is about a 20 minute drive), and went bowling in South Glans Falls. If you're looking for a family friendly, peaceful place to stay, this is the cabin to rent! ”

“What a place! The cabin was wonderful. It was very comfortable, clean and neat and had all the conveniences. The surrounding mountains were beautiful as were the many lakes in the area. So peaceful, so quiet...each morning we awoke to the sound of Loons on the lake. And there are a lot of opportunities to hike. The owner recommended a trail near the cabin that was easy and over looked Loon Lake and Gore Ski Mt....just gorgeous. Lots of good places to eat out too. Try The Place restaurant and OP Fredericks Pub. Our kids were at the camp fire toasting smores every night. We will definitely come back again. If you are looking for a place in the Adirondacks, Loon Lake Log Cabin is it!”

“We loved Loon Lake Log Cabin! The cabin was neat and clean when we arrived and the owner's attention to detail really shows. The beach is very nice and the Loon Lake area is so beautiful. We loved morning coffee on the deck overlooking the huge pine trees and lake and evening sunsets on the deck were just as good. The kids loved going to the beach which is very close and loved the downstairs "rec" room even more. The lake water is very clean and looked great for a swim, kayaking or fishing. We will be back! (next time when its a little warmer) If you rent here, you won't be disappointed! ”

“I had always dreamed of being in a true Adirondack Camp or Lodge with a beautiful view and tranquility to peacefully enjoy an Adirondack sunrise and sunset with my coffee mug in hand listening to the loons and for me the open elevated deck is perfect. This property had all of the above and tons more. It's the total package from Adirondack furnishings, Adirondack interior styling, fire pit, propane grill and picnic table, a loft for the young ones which they loved, beach rights, cable tv and wireless internet for the family techies and all so affordable for a weeks vacation I had only dreamed of before renting this property. If my dream sounds like yours this is the place to be except you can't have my 2012 week in July cause I've already booked it.”
