“We were lucky enough to find such a special cabin in the ADK'S this past August. The location is so quiet and peaceful that it didn't take even a few hours to feel like we had landed in a woodland, mountain and lake paradise. The cabin was very clean and obviously well cared for. We really loved the easy access to Loon Lake and the chance to paddle with the kayaks and canoes. We spent almost all our time out on the water and at the gazebo. We had a little rain but the fishing and camp fires were in full swing anyway. It's an easy drive to Saranac Lake for food supplies but otherwise everything we needed at the camp was there. We especially loved the pellet stove because a few nights were actually quite chilly but not unusual for the mountains. The directions to use it were easy to follow and kept the cabin toasty at night when needed.
We listened to the loons and owls at night by the lake and rode our bikes along the road during the day. Once we got there nobody wanted to leave. Communication with the owners was phenomenal. I've rented through ADK by owner for years and this was the best experience I've had by far. A beautiful retreat that I hope my review selfishly keeps the calendar open for us. Thanks to the Miller family.

“The house was very clean, spacious, and well equipped with whatever one would expect or need.
The house is not lake-front, but the owner owns a lake front lot 0.3 mi down the road with a nice screened gazebo with a couple of Adirondack chairs for contemplating the beautiful lake. At the gazebo are a kayak, a canoe, and a SUP with paddles. The dozen steps down to the lake dock are quite steep with no railing and because I would have had to carry the boat myself, we did not risk injury to ourselves or the damaging the boats., thus did not use them during our stay, much to our disappointment.
The owner could not have been more helpful when any question came up; he responded promptly to our inquiries.”

“This was a beautiful, peaceful and serene getaway! We had a blast, both adults and kids. First, loved how the TV was not the center of attention, it was almost an afterthought (we never used). So many games for kids to play and a fully stocked coffee bar (these are the important things!). Loved the gazebo and kids fished for hours. One of the highlights of the location was the general store, I felt like we went back in time. We had never stayed on this lake before but we will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us :)”

“Quiet cabin in the woods, just as described. It's a lit bit of a walk to the lake access spot, but it's an easy walk and totally worth it for relaxing and enjoying the gazebo/dock/water.”
