Originally built in 1890, The Mountain House property is located on top of East Hill with spectacular views of the Adirondack's highest peaks. The Mountain House has been operated by the Biesemeyer Family since 1945.

The property recently underwent a complete and thoughtful renovation that maintained the architectural integrity and historic features of the structures while providing updated conveniences such as whirlpool tubs and high speed internet access. Is a 1400 square foot cabin with a. Very large master bedroom bath as well as its own kitchen, living and dining. Adding this fourth house can accommodate 2 to 3 more persons

The Main House has a large, comfortable living room with a fireplace and is surrounded by an open deck and outdoor fireplace. The adjacent Gulf Brook Lodge offers comfortable accommodations for individuals, families, and small groups. The Alpine Lodge offers an open concept, spacious equipped kitchen and dining room area. There are many places to read, relax, and get away from it all.

Each room has been wired with data ports and our office enables our guests to have the use of a fax machine. If you have to stay connected to the working world, we provide you with the opportunity to do so but we do not encourage it!

Please join us at the Mountain House for your family vacation or arrange for a special event such as a wedding, family reunion, or company meeting. We are open 12 months a year.

Rates

Main House - $2,500 per week, $1,500 for 3 nights, (sleeps six).

Main House plus Gulf Brook Lodge - $3,900 per week, $2,500 for 3 nights, (sleeps up to 12 total).
Main House, Gulf Brook and Alpine Lodges - $6,500 per week, $ 3,500 for 3 nights (sleeps up to 22 total)
Chalet is $600 for 3 nights or $1,500 for the week
Alpine Lodge 3 night rate $ 1,900. weekly rate $2,900 accommodates 8
Call for wedding and other event rates

There is also a 3% Essex County Bed Tax and 8 % NYS sales tax except for long term rentals
