About Us: We are a family of four that loves to spend time in the Adirondacks. Cammy has spent virtually every summer of her childhood in the region and on the farm that is nearby this property. Scott and the boys have grown to love this place and we have made many memories in the North Country and in this house every summer and at other times of year.
Why our property is special: We had this house custom built and we were involved intimately in the design process. We like clean and simple designs and we chose design accents that are reflective of the Adirondack sense of place. We particularly love the great room and open kitchen space, and its soaring wood ceiling and huge picture window looking out to Whiteface Mountain. Despite its volume, it still has a cozy feel. We love to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning from the window seat enjoying the great view.

“Our family has stayed at Red Oak Lodge for many years for our annual cross-country ski weekends. The house is a big reason why we come back year after year. It is an extremely comfortable, well-appointed house, with breathtaking views of Whiteface Mountain. The living room, with its stone fireplace and over-sized leather furniture, is our favorite place to spend the majority of our weekend. Scott, the owner of the house, is very caring and a pleasure to work with. If you are looking to vacation in the beautiful Adirondacks, you would do well to consider staying at Red Oak Lodge.”

“We have stayed at Red Oak Lodge twice, both times over the New Year. The house is beautiful and the setting even better. There is attention in the detail and it really feels as though you are staying in a lovely home not a rental property. We have stayed there alone ( just our family) and with another family and there is plenty of space to accommodate everyone. Radiant heat means that even on the coldest of days, the house feels warm. The grounds provide a winter wonderland, for snowshoeing and sledding, with Whiteface only a few miles away. It is positioned perfectly so that you can have that 'get away from it all' feeling, but is a short drive to restaurants and supermarkets if you would like. We will definitely return again.”

“My friends and I have rented the Red Oak Lodge for the last three summers for stays of three or four weeks, and each year we can't wait to return. It is a beautiful house with many luxurious touches in a spectacular setting. Surrounded by meadows and forests, it overlooks a pastoral valley with views of Whiteface, the Sentinel Range and the Jay range. It is a secluded spot where all you hear are the trees, birds and wildlife. Turkeys, deer, and the occasional coyote pass through the blackberry bushes and old apple trees. While there, I make sure I am up to see the sun rise over Jay Mt. and see the sun's rays hit the summit of Whiteface, as I sip coffee on the huge deck. Large windows look out from every room at the surrounding beauty. Each room has its own bathroom and there are many spaces to sit and relax. For my own diverse group , it is perfect. After a day's hiking we relax on the deck or sit in the window seat reading and enjoying the beautiful decor of the open great room/dining/kitchen area. I have rented in the Adirondacks on and off for the last thirty years. This place is the best! Unlike other places where we had to clean and put things in order before we could enjoy it, this house was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. We hope to return again next summer and if time allows enjoy it in winter . ”
