Caribou Lodge, named for Caribou mounted on opposite sides of the Great Room, is located on the prime lot of Holiday Shores Estates, with a panoramic view of Fourth Lake. It is the largest property at Holiday Shores Estates. This huge (3,162 square feet), majestic camp boasts cathedral ceilings in its Great Room (600 square feet), along with a perfect combination of outdoorsy charm and modern amenities. It simply is impressive.
This well-appointed camp has been completely and recently reno …vated and refurnished. The kitchen and dining areas have been recently upgraded. With the installation of new quartz counter tops, kitchen island, new hardwood flooring, an Adirondack style table and chairs, and a distinctive rustic bar, the camp is equipped to handle any meal, from simple to gourmet. An expansive deck, with new sliding French doors, faces the lake and is perfect for cocktails or barbecues. Rustic Adirondack railings recently installed on the deck as wells interior stairways give the camp that genuine Adirondack feel. Three bathrooms have been recently overhauled and modernized. The convenient laundry room has a washer and new dryer. All the carpeting and most of the hardwood (oak) flooring was also recently installed.
Even large families can be accommodated by its five spacious bedrooms, one of which is a "kids loft", sleeping four, with a separate entrance, bath and plenty of extra play room. The MBR has a new rustic Adirondack king size bed. Two other bedrooms have a queen size bed. The reading room, which also overlooks the lake, has a wood burning fireplace and the Great Room a Franklin stove.
Guests have access to all the community resources: sandy swimming beach, boat launch and docks, sun deck, children's playground (brand new), tennis and basketball court, bocce, baseball field as well as several peaceful shaded reading areas near the beach.
If you plan to enjoy the Adirondacks during any season, there is no better place in which to do it.

“We have filled this house to it's maximum occupancy of 13 and have plenty of space. We are enjoying the layout with the Kids Loft that has cable tv and dvd. The kitchen is the most well stocked of the vacation homes we have stayed at (this is the 6th). We like the Reading Room with it's lakeview along with the selection of kids books that the 3 and 5 year old's have us reading to them. As a family we have enjoyed the activities offered at Holiday Shores: tennis, bocce ball, swimming, and the play structure. We have biked to Inlet on the railroad bike trail, hiked the Cascade Trail, and canoed around Fourth Lake.
Holiday Shores is a group of cottages and has a lot to offer. Even though it isn't a private lot, we have enjoyed the activities that the property has to offer.
We have been pleased with Caribou Lodge.”
