Enjoy your time in the ADK relaxing at our newly renovated, private and spacious home. This is a 4 season retreat. We have lake rights to Lake Pleasanst. Swimming, kayaking, or canoeing are only a 10-15 min walk or short drive. Please note: our lake access is shared with neighbors. Rent a boat for a day of fun. There is also plenty of hiking nearby. In the winter, enjoy the slopes, Oak Mountain is 5 mins away and Gore Mountain, only 30 mins. There is quick trail access for your snowmobile as we …ll.
Our home is located on 3 wooded acres along a quiet road with neighbors (barely visible) on each side. We are approx. 3 miles from Speculator, where there is a grocery store and other various shops. Enjoy some of the nice dining options nearby. Spend time at Camp of the Woods and enjoy their activities and events. There is also a golf course located 3 miles away. We are about 4 miles away from Oak Mountain ski slopes.
Speculator is a lovely little village located on the shore of Lake Pleasant, in Hamilton County, NY. The village is within the town of Lake Pleasant and is on the southern edge of the Adirondack Park. It gets its name from the nearby Speculator Mountain, and is known as an "all season vacationland". There are restaurants, shopping and plenty of outdoor activities to occupy your time. The free public beach is a must visit, and there are places to rent boats, kayaks and paddleboards. Biking, golfing and hiking are also popular summer activities that are available. There are over 750 groomed trails for snowmobiling and the Oak Mountain Ski Center is located less than a mile out of town.

About Us: Hello, we are Brian and Kim. We are blessed with three children. We have grown to love visiting the Adirondacks so much that we decided to buy this home in December of 2020 with the dual purpose of using it for a vacation home as well as a vacation rental property. Our desire is that our guests enjoy their time at our "retreat" even more than we do. Why we think you will enjoy staying in Lake Pleasant: Lake Pleasant is relaxing yet adventurous. You can spend time by the lake side or rent a boat for fun or fishing. Hiking is one of the many things people enjoy doing. There are many different trails for the experienced and beginners. You can even hike to waterfalls! In fall enjoy the beautiful foliage. In the winter snowmobiling and skiing are a big hit. Try ice skating or ice fishing on the lake. So much to do and see!!

Why our property is special: Our property is big enough for a family or a couple families to stay in. We have a full kitchen and a kitchenette in the basement. We have a ping pong table and pool table in the basement as well. Enjoy a fire at the fire pit or watch a movie on our big screen tv. The property is private in the woods but 3 miles from stores, restaurants, camp of the woods and oak mountain.
