This Circa 1910 chapel, all season home, has been fully renovated and is something to experience. There are two bedrooms and a private sunroom. The sunroom opens up to the outdoors. If you are a painter, writer or reader, you will find inspiration in this relaxing room. This is also the tv room. The loft bedroom has a king size bed. The main floor bedroom has a queen size bed. One bathroom with a jacuzzi tub to relax after a day of hiking. The home has all the modern amenities needed for a …perfect vacation. There is no lake access to Loon Lake but there are plenty of waterways and beaches nearby to enjoy all of your favorite water sports. So, if you are looking for a total disconnect, this is your place.
We have just expanded the sleeping area to include the sunroom which has a Murphy bed (bed in a box) which will allow up to six guests.

About Us: Nearing the end of our careers, we bought the Old Chapel and now have a place to enjoy near where we once grew up, got married then moved on. We are thrilled to share our great find. The previous owner did a fantastic job of renovating 98% of the property. We did the rest and it has really come together. We do not do social media. You can email us or call, whichever you prefer. We have had friends use our home and everyone really loves it. We hope you will too.
Why we think you will enjoy staying in Loon Lake: Our house is peaceful. The traffic is very light. We go for walks to the nearby ponds and bogs and are always looking for the illusive Moose that live in our area. We see other wildlife frequently. You are close to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Plattsburgh. What we enjoy the most is the quiet of the evenings with a fire going in the pit.
Why our property is special: There are many hiking trails and ATV trails. Inside, we have made an upscale living area we are sure you will enjoy. The wood burning fireplace will take the chill off on those cool or rainy Adirondack mornings. We have an outdoor fire pit surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs to enjoy. Fire wood is provided. We have added Starlink Satelite Wi-Fi for your internet, tv and music enjoyment. Bring your own streaming service. We hope you will enjoy the indoor living environment.

“Its hard to put into words how exceptionally beautiful The Old Chapel is! Upon arriving we were absolutely taken aback at how beautifully finished the home is and how well thought out the decorating is, even my children were in love! The entire home lends itself to a cozy mountain lifestyle that we all desire when visiting ADK. The home is well stocked with cookware/kitchenware, towels, and what not as well as some extra essentials incase anything was left behind in the chaos of leaving for vacation, which I really appreciated because we have three small children. A binder was provided with contact info and general guidelines. Rich and Michelle were a joy to book with and they left us with a little tree to take home and plant in memory of our stay. We are entirely happy with our time at The Old Chapel and will certainly be back! ”

“My wife, two daughters and I attended a family / friends reunion in neighboring Vermontville this past Labor day weekend and as such we're extremely lucky to find and rent the Old Chapel for our stay. Although "a picture is worth a 1000 words", the photos do not come close in conveying how well thought out they home's lay out is nor do they provide a sense of how beautifully finished, decorated and maintained the Chapel is. If we owned this property, I'd be hard pressed to rent it out to strangers as it is that nice and feels brand new.. Although we were four persons, the home sleeps six assuming the use of the living room's pull out couch. Reflective of tits open "airy" floor plan and the 2nd story master bed room, the four of us never felt cramped or on top of each other, but we're sure to strategically time our use of the one very well appointed bathroom. The home is well stocked and supplied with everything you need to enjoy your stay being on hand. New appliances (refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, & other), pots & pans, utensils, indoor and outdoor games, etc. The owners, Rich & Michelle, were a pleasure and easy to rent from and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. As I did need to stay in touch with my job over the weekend, Rich made sure satellite internet was installed and operational before our arrival. Not much more to say other than this was a fantastic rental experience and we'll definitely be coming back! ”
