“Our family of nine spent 5 delightful days at the Cranbear Cottages. There was a real sense of staying in true old style ADK cabins which we loved. Both cottages were fully equipped with essentials & afforded plenty of private space for our diverse family. We spent a number if hours on the new deck overlooking the lake. The lakefront & dock were terrific for our paddle boards, kayaks, fishing gear & campfires.Cranbear deserves our five star recommendation. It will not disappoint.”

“We rented both cabins as a base camp for our kayaking adventures in the area. The cabins exceeded our expectations. Not only was the location perfect for short drives to multiple kayak locations, but the accommodations suited the group well. Some of the group were early morning people who enjoyed sipping coffee on the dock watching the sun rise, others were night owls who enjoyed campfires in the evening. The kitchen and dinning area were well suited for meals our group of eight adults. The hummingbird feeders entertained us as we enjoyed the deck. The place is ideal for anyone's Adirondack adventure!”

“This property is truly perfection for a summer getaway on the water! We stayed at the Lakeside Cabin and the amenities were above and beyond our expectations, everything from the fully appointed kitchen to the watercraft. The location on Cranberry Lake was so convenient for launching our boat at the state boat launch which is within walking distance from the property. We enjoyed spectacular sunrises from the waterfront sleeping porch bedroom, and equally stunning sunsets from our boat. If you don't bring your own motorboat, you can always take out one of the kayaks or the paddleboard. Staying here was both relaxing and invigorating. We started our mornings with coffee either on the deck or on the dock by the water and loved watching the boats go by as everyone started their lake day. It was awesome swimming right off shore in such crystal clear water.......so much nicer than some of the Fingerlakes! The hiking trails in nearby Wanakena, Bear Mountain, and one accessible in walking distance from the property, are all amazing too! This is a wonderful property for a vacation and we plan to return, hopefully for two weeks next time! ”

“Loved this house! Location was great as it was close to the boat launch and is on a dead end road so there wasnt a lot of traffic. Plenty of room in the house and it was stocked with everything you could need. The tulips were beautiful and the hummingbirds were so cool to watch when they would come to the houses feeders. The porch swing was great and got a lot of use! Watching the sun rise from the dining room table or the deck was spectacular! Would definitely stay in this house again! ”
