“What a little slice of Heaven, Moose River Landing Cabin is! We had such a wonderful stay. The cabin was gorgeous, even though it felt like it was a remote, private place, the location was perfectly situated just 5 minutes from downtown Old Forge. The fire pit area was so comfortable, we were able to enjoy a fire while our littles were fishing off of the property dock. We had a daily visit from a little duck family, my son caught the biggest fish of his life (a massive 30 inch northern pike) and daily visits from a deer family. If youre looking for a large space for a family trip, this is certainly the best choice! We cant wait to go back next year! ”

“What a beautiful spot! You cannot beat this location - being on the river the views were stunning, the house and yard were so private but not even a 5 minute drive into town! The house and furnishings were so nice, clean and kitchen items very well stocked with everything we needed. The kids were able to swim and feed the ducks, we had deer come through the property several times and the fishing was amazing - caught a huge Northern Pike! Campfire area is perfection. Host was amazing and so attentive! Marketing materials sent to us about the property before arrival were very informative and professional. We loved our stay here and highly recommend this property. We will be back!”

“This property is just incredible! My husband and I snuck away from reality for a much needed weekend in the ADK's and we're SO happy that we choose Moose River Landing Cabin. From the moment we pulled in, we knew that it was going to be hard to say goodbye come Sunday morning. We took advantage of the beautiful weather that fell over that rare, hot, October weekend. We ventured out on the kayaks, enjoyed the suns rays on the deck and spent the evening in the lean to with a roaring fire and s'mores! The Cabin was stocked with everything you could think of, the beds were extremely comfortable and the space was just spotless! The host was so sweet and responsive, we look forward to our return in the near future! ”

“Outstanding home, location, communication, value, all of it!!!! Hands down the best home to rent in the area for a larger group. Bunkhouse is perfect for kids, family. The view of the Mooose River is amazing. Watched the snow fall and an otter play for hours! Everything you could possibly need or want is there. Perfect access for snowmobiling, enclosed porch was great to store our gear, and the kitchen set up is perfect for feeding a crowd.”

“We have stayed at the Cabin the last two summers. My wife and I rent it for a week to have our teenage grandkids and a couple friends enjoy a week in Old Forge with us. The Cabin is cozy and roomy enough to support meals, games and movies together, The Bunkhouse is perfect for the kids to sleep and have their own private time. The property is in a great location for walking, biking, kayaking and swimming. The camp fire pit and lean-to is spacious with plenty of seating. The dock is very user friendly to swim and kayak from. The town is a short distance to walk or take the bike trail. Peaceful and quiet neighborhood!”

“Three generations of our family (6 adults, 3 grands - ages 11, 13 & 15) enjoyed a week at this lovely cabin along the banks of the Moose River. Each day was a blend of laughter, fun-filled adventures, wonder, & love. The kids embraced having their own space in the bunkhouse (joined by their aunt). The three bedrooms in the main cabin are small, but the beds are very comfortable. At times, the five of us sharing a single bathroom was a challenge, but manageable. The main living space facing the river is wonderful - spacious with spectacular views throughout. The kitchen is beyond fully equipped- no need to bring anything from home! Although we brought our own two kayaks & paddle boards, the owner provides two nice kayaks for guest use. The lean to & fire pit adjacent to the cabin are an added bonus which we put to good use. Although the kids didnt land the fish they hoped for, we all spent many peaceful hours on the river filled with sightings of loons, a beaver, herons, families of ducks, geese, and yes even a bear cub befriended us!The owner was responsive, focused on caring for our various needs, open to questions & gracious in all ways. If you understand this is not an ADK lake experience, we would highly recommend booking a stay. We left with grateful hearts & a refreshing sense of calm and peace deep within our souls.”

“This is our second year renting here. We absolutely love everything about it here. The sun glistening off the river in the morning, the birds singing, the peace and quiet all while being a 2 minute drive from town! Traveling from out of state its great that everything we need for a comfortable stay is readily available. Looking forward to coming back next summer! ”

“We have enjoyed this cabin the last four summers! It is always very clean, and in a great location! Quiet and relaxing, but only a few minutes away from so many fun things for the whole family. The kids love fishing from the dock, kayaking and campfires at night. The owner is very friendly, quick to respond and easy to work with!! The open floor plan makes dinners fun and easy and you dont feel crowded. Hope to stay again soon! ”

“Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin on Moose River. The bunkhouse was spacious for our son and his family of 5. (Shower is very small though.) The main house had 3 bedrooms and shared a full bath. Kitchen had a large dinning table to accommodate as many people as there were beds for which was very nice. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed the ability to go down to river and swim, fish or kayak multiple times a day. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware. Wonderful views from the living room and kitchen. Multiple areas outside: picnic bench/grill, lean to with many lawn chairs and fire pit. About 4 steps to get into the main house, which was nice for anyone with mobility issues. The bathtub seemed unusually high to several of us. The bedding provided was very nice quality and the beds were very comfortable.
Overall I would recommend this place. The owners were very easy to deal with and answered any questions very quickly. ”

“This property is absolutely STUNNING!! Once you open the door the wall of windows just sucks you in. Once you see the view it literally takes your breathe away! The location is amazing, very private and quiet, yet super close to town. The owners were very prompt with all communication. We weren't able to locate the tub stopper and the owner stopped by with a brand new for us! The bunkhouse was perfect for our family (older teenagers as well as little ones). It gave the big kids their own space and we had our own! The very comfortable chairs next to the back windows provided me with a very peaceful place to read my book and enjoy the scenery!. We had a great and memorable week!

“Perfect! Pictures dont do the Moose River Cabin justice. The cabin and bunkhouse were glowing in lights welcoming us for our Thanksgiving stay. As we entered through the front door we felt welcomed, but when we opened the door to the cabin, we immediately felt at home. The living area was welcomely open, warm and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms were cozy and just as warm as the living areas. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots & pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster oven, baking dishes and an abundance of dishes and silverware. The owners even purchased an electric mixer when I asked if the kitchen had one! The wall of windows in the dining area looked out onto the Moose River, gave a great view, and enabled us to see the deer that came to visit. The bunkhouse was just as welcoming and offered a private area for our friends that had come for Thanksgiving dinner. Having the washer/dryer included was a bonus, especially after cooking a big dinner and using a multitude of dish towels and table linens. Whether its a cozy couples getaway or a family vacation, I can honestly say that you wont be disappointed staying at the Moose River Cabin. We cant wait for another chance to stay. ”

“5 STARS! Thank you so much for letting our family stay at your cabin. We had a great time and wished we could have stayed at least another week. Kayaking directly from the cabin was our favorite thing to do and was awesome! We were able to swim, fish and relax during our stay and everything we needed was right there. The large dock provided easy access to the river and the kids loved it! Cabins were clean and tastfully decorated. We are already looking forward to coming back next summer!”

“STUNNING! Look no further if your interested in staying in the Old Forge area. We absoultly loved this cabin! We come to Old Forge every year to kayak and mountain bike. We have stayed at many different cabins in the area but Moose River Lodge is now our favorite. The views of the river are truly incredible! The main cabin is only a few feet away from the river and the large dock made it conveinent to launch our kayaks or just sit and relax along the river bank. The location was perfect and the bunk house provied the extra room we needed for our extended family. Both the bunk house and main cabin provided views of the moose river. We were hesitant to write this review as we wanted to keep Moose River Lodge our little secrete but the owners are great and this place is something that should be shared and enjoyed by all. We already booked for next year! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin. Looking forward to next year!”

“After a long winter and being cooped up in the house for some time we decided we needed a break but didnt want to jump on a plane or travel long distances. Found Moose River Lodge on line and so happy we did! What a beautiful place! Our family enjoyed the peacefulness of the River and time gathered around the bon Fire. The cabins were both tastefully done with attention to details. We LOVED the bunkhouse for the kids! Great location definitely coming back again next year! ”

“Absolutely Beautiful! We loved everything about it. Snowmobile weekend with the family and the location was perfect. Easy access to the trails "right from cabin" and we were able to ride into town which was only a short distance away. The views of the river are breathtaking and we didn't want to leave. The kids loved the bunkhouse however the boys/men took it over and made it their man cave. The cabin was warm, cozy and inviting after a long day on the trails. We are definitely coming back! ”

“AMAZING CABIN!! Incredible views, location and workmanship!
We travel to the Adirondacks/Old Forge area at least once a year. We decided to try a new place this year and book our trip at Moose River Lodge. We fell in love with the cabin the minute we walked through the front door, The views are breathtaking! You can see the river from all the common areas of the cabin. The large dining room table was great for our large family and overlooks water. We ate our meals while watching all sorts of wildlife go by. It felt like we were actually on the River! The bunk house was great for the kids and provided some alone time for just the adults. The kids fished off the dock, we all kayaked, and in the evening the kids couldn't wait to make bon fires. The large Lean-to provided a nice place to hang out and watch the fire. Everything we needed was in the general area, close to town by yet far enough away. Both the main house and bunk house were meticulously kept and smelled like knotty pine. WE LOVED IT! Highly recommend and already booked our trip for next year! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin on the River! It is truly special! ”
