These Cabins are steps away from our Private Beach on Lake Colby and each cabin has it's own charcoal grill and Fire pit outside. Each cabin has all of the comforts and amenities our guests need to enjoy Lake Colby and Saranac Lake any time of the year and are kept cozy with our Vermont Castings stoves as well as ductless heat and air conditioning.
Loon Cabin is a one bedroom, one full bathroom. Loon has a twin daybed with a trundle in the living room. Bear, Moose and Fish have queen size s …leeper sofas in the living room, which are only comfortable for and intended for young children. Bear Cabin is a two bedroom, one full bathroom. Moose Cabin is a two bedroom, two full bathroom. Fish Cabin is a one bedroom, one full bathroom. All bedroom beds are queen size. Guests can use any of our seven boats: 2 row boats, 2 canoes, 2 full size kayaks and a child size kayak.
Lake Colby is part of the greater Saranac Lake Community which offers many tourist attractions, including hiking, snow skiing, zip lines, golf and amazing food. This cabin is also a two minute walk to the public beach and boat launch.Our cabins are furnished and decorated with the history of the Adirondacks in mind, but with all of the comforts you would enjoy in your own home. Enjoy fresh coffee on Lake Colby in the morning to the songs of the loons and a beer at the fire pit lakeside at sunset. Our Caretaker is just up the road and is available during your stay should you need anything. The Village of Saranac Lake boasts wonderful Eateries, Pubs and Coffee Shops.
Colby Cabins are a two minute drive from Mt. Pisgah where the whole family can enjoy downhill skiing, tubing and snow boarding on lit trails. Saranac Lake is surrounded by some of the most scenic hiking trails on the East Coast. Lake Colby is known for it's excellent fishing of : rainbow and brown trout, salmon, largemouth and smallmouth bass. Maximum 10 hp motors can be used on this lake.Let us know if you wish to book one, two or three or four cabins.

We had a great week at the property - there were 9 kids and 7 adults ; we rented all 4 cabins. Kids had a great time going back and forth between the cabins - property manager and owner were super responsive the entire time. Lake Colby is great for the kids - the public beach is right next door and the lake is quiet enough the kids can paddle/swim with no concern. Spent a day in Lake Placid and a rainy day at a nearby Nature Center ; also rented some paddleboards for the week. We hope to make it back again soon!

Great Family Vacation at Lake Colby
Huda and Ethan were terrific hosts! The four cabins were perfect for our family gathering. The water was steps from the doors of the cabins, and the kayaks and canoes were well used during our stay. The kitchens were outfitted with everything we needed to prepare meals, beds were comfortable, and air conditioning much appreciated on those 85-degree days when we all needed a break from the heat. Definitely thinking about a return visit next year!

Great weekend!!We used all four cabins with our group and were very pleased with the whole layout of each cabin and the group of cabins together. Every thing was as advertised, the check-in and communication with host was easy, and our overall experience was excellent. Thank you!!

Rates

The Rental Rate for all 4 cabins is $1150 per night during off peak time and during peak time between the 3rd week of June and Labor day $1350 per night Friday and Saturday and $1150 per night Sunday through Thursday.
From the third week of June to the first week of September, we will book Saturday to Saturday for $9000 per week. Housekeeping fee for all 4 cabins is $450. Bed tax is 5% of the rental rate, per Franklin County regulations.
Off Peak rental minimum is two nights.
For Only Moose Cabin, the rate is $390 per night Fri-Sun and Holidays and $370 per night Mon-Thurs. ($2630 per week) Housekeeping $125.
For Only Bear Cabin, the rate is $370 Fri-Sat and Holidays and $350 Sun-Thurs.($2490 per week) Housekeeping $125.
For Only Loon Cabin, the rate is $295 Fri-Sat and Holidays and $280 Sun-Thurs.($1990 per week) Housekeeping $100.
For only Fish Cabin, the rate is $285 Fri-Sat and Holidays and $265 Sun-Thurs.($1890 per week) Housekeeping $100.

We accept the rental rate at time of booking and the bed tax, housekeeping fee and security deposit 30 days prior to check in. Security deposit is $250 per cabin. Security deposit will be returned within 48 hours of departure.

Pet Policy: We have a $100 per pet fee per pet and need to approve the breed of pet before including the pet in the rental agreement. We expect owners to completely clean up after their pets, leave them in a crate in the cabin if left alone and not allow the pets on the furniture.
Smoking Policy: We do not ever allow smoking in the cabins. Ashtrays are provided outside the cabins. Any cigarette butts are expected to be discarded by our guests in the garbage. Cigarette butts found on the lawn or beach will be considered litter and a security deposit deduction may be taken.
Cleaning Policy: Although we have a cleaning service come after you leave, we ask guests to please remove all garbage, dispose of prepared food from the house and refrigerators, and leave the house in the order in which you found it. Please do not leave dirty dishes upon departure. Please leave all windows and doors closed when departing the house and the key in the key box. Please turn off the heat when leaving . Turn off all appliances and lighting in and outside of the house when departing
Linen Policy: Linens: we do provide bed linens, separate bath and beach towels. Please use bath towels for bath use only and do not bring bath towels outside.
Security Deposit Information: Security deposit for all 4 cabins is $1000. If one wishes to rent one cabin is $250, the security deposit for two cabins is $500 and the security deposit for 3 cabins, $750.

About Us: Our family lives in the Hudson Valley but are lucky enough to be a short drive away from the beautiful Adirondack State Park. Our caretaker lives just up the road from the property.

Why we think you will enjoy staying in Saranac Lake: These cabins are on a beautiful lake where one can enjoy swimming or use of any of our 9 boats. A short drive away are excellent golf courses, some of the best hiking on the East Coast and great down hill skiing and snow boarding. Our cabins are insulated, heated year round and air conditioned in the Summer. Guests can enjoy the serenity of Lake Colby and the wonderful village of Saranac Lake any month of the year.

Why our property is special: Lake Colby is famous for its excellent fishing opportunities. Our cabins are steps away from this lake where both adults and young children can wade into our sandy beach or boat to the other side of the lake and enjoy the clean and serene lake.
