This Highland Annex is situated at the east end (head) of 4th Lake with a 60 foot private beach. There is a glider on the beach that is an ideal perch for viewing spectacular sunsets down the length of the lake with your evening glass of wine, or for viewing rolling mists as they pull off the lake while sipping your sunrise cup of coffee. The property is secluded by deep woods, but it is just a 5 minute walk into downtown Inlet.

The cottage was built around 1900, originally as a boat house. … It was pulled back from the beach in the 1930's and refurbished as a cottage with fairly large rooms. The cottage was used to house staff for the Wood Hotel, which is a short walk away down a wooded path. Much of the furniture is original to the period and many furnishings actually came from the original Wood hotel. The cottage sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms. The largest bedroom is downstairs, which is perfect for an elderly person or a family with an infant. There is a futon in the great room and two additional cots. The cottage has two full baths, both downstairs; one with a shower, the other with a tub and shower. The kitchen is a large, eat-in kitchen and is stocked with dishes, glassware, pots, and pans. The great room is a dining room/living room combination with a table that seats 8-10. There is a nice front porch facing the lake and a rolling lawn down to the beach. There is also a picnic table on the lawn, a gas grill out back, and a fire pit near the beach. There is space to beach canoes and kayaks. This summer camp is fairly simple or "rustic" as we say. Some of the windows still have straw marks in the glass. There is no dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no washing machine, no dryer, no TV, and no dock. The cottage is well stocked with board games and books. The cottage does have WiFi.

Rates

$3,500 per week. The camp is available from late June until late September. The term of the rental is from Saturday to Saturday. The balance of the rent (half) is due June 1st.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The half payment of the rental is not refundable should you cancel your reservation. Your security deposit will be refunded if you need to cancel your reservation. If we do not receive the balance of your rental payment by June 1st, we will cancel your reservation, and you will forfeit your half payment of the rent. Please meet these dates as there are no exceptions to this policy.

Pet Policy: The property owner has several allergies, so, unfortunately, NO dogs or pets of any kind are allowed.
Smoking Policy: This is a smoke-free home. Smoking is prohibited inside the cottage. There is ample spaces for smoking on the porch and outdoors.
Cleaning Policy: The camp will be clean when you arrive, it should be left in the same condition.
We do not employ a full cleaning service so your are expected to do a complete cleaning before you leave the property. This includes cleaning both bathrooms, the kitchen, the refrigerator, and vacuuming the great room and all bedrooms. The outside grounds should be free of any litter and all garbage and papers must be taken to the Inlet dump.
Linen Policy: You must bring your own linens for 5 double(full) beds and 2 single cots. Bring your own towels, wash cloths, and dish towels. Blankets and pillows are provided.
Security Deposit Information: To hold your reservation, you must pay a security deposit of $300 and half of the rent with the signed lease at the time you make your reservation. Your security deposit will be returned within 14 days of your departure after there has been an inspection of the premises verifying that no damages requiring repair or unusual cleaning is required and the cottage keys are returned to the owner..
