“What an amazing week at the Irish House. All my siblings and I surprised our parents with a family week away. It was a Christmas gift for them and we are so thrilled we did it. This house was perfect for our entire family. Very spacious, clean, and it had all the essentials. Practically each bedroom has their own full bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. Didnt expect to have toilet paper, paper towels, etc supplied, but they were. The weather was beautiful and each morning sitting on the porch with coffee was amazing. The beach is a short walk and we enjoyed the kayaks. Patty was so great to work with as well. We will definitely love to come back again. Thank you Patty!!!!”

“The Irish House is a great place for a large group or to celebrate your parents 50th wedding anniversary with the family!
We spent the days relaxing, reading, hiking, boating and fishing! Lake Placid and Saranac are a hop skip and a jump away if you need to shop, sight see or take in a fabulous meal (Mirror Lake Inn)!
The evenings were spent with family dinners, board games and lots of laughter!
The house is comfortable and large with the necessary amenities! The people of the Loon Lake community were very welcoming and respectful.”

“Our family enjoyed a week at the Irish House. The house was part of a hotel complex built over 100 years ago. The interior has many features that reflect the history of the Adirondaks at that time and show fine workmanship. The house has been mostly restored and has modern baths and a large add on kitchen. There are some costemic features that need to be completed. The house is very large and allows lots of space for everyone. We enjoed the porches for quiet reading, the various boats for paddling on the lake, the shared beach for swimming and the firepit for roasting marchmellows. We are looking forward to returning . It was so relaxing.”

“Staying at the historic Irish House was a wonderful experience for me and my family of 4. The 2 guest rooms we stayed in were very large, open, and airy. Each of these nice rooms had their own separate bath rooms too.
Our favorite common area of this large inviting mansion was the front Great room. We spent many hours there playing board games (Risk & Chess) and eating our meals. Relaxing on the huge front porch was a great way to end our day and it also gave us a place of refuge when it rained. The common kitchen was fully equipped and modern. I can tell this would be a great place for a large family reunion.
A short walk from the house (200 yards) is Loon lake and a very nice beachfront with fire-pit, 2 canoes, and a paddle boat for guests to use. The water in Loon lake is AMAZING! Both clear, fresh and the perfect temperature in mid-August.
The proprietors Dave & Veronica were very nice and went out of their way to make our stay at the Irish House most enjoyable.
