Our studio is located in the hamlet of Keene on the east branch of the Ausable River. We are in walking distance to restaurants, shops, and a community center that includes a playground, tennis courts, baseball diamond, soccer field, basketball court, and ice skating in the winter. Keene is located in the High Peaks, 15 minutes from Whiteface and Lake Placid. Hiking,swimming, rock climbing, ice climbing, cross country skiing on the Jackrabbit Trail and skiing at Whiteface are only minutes away. … The Ironman route passes at the end of out street.
The studio is a bright and spacious timberframe with a full kitchen, queen size bed and bathroom with a washer and dryer on the main floor. There is an open loft with cozy double bed. The loft is equipped with wireless internet and smart TV, as well as many books and games for the family. The entrance is a private deck with a grill that overlooks the Ausable River. Downstairs is guest garage parking and extra storage for gear. Ask about the possibility of a swap. If you are looking for a monthly room rental, we are now offering this in the main house. “Very well cared for, meticulously clean property. Enjoyable to be in, nice little back deck overlooking the Au Sable. Very quiet and peaceful. Friendly and responsive owners, reasonable rates. Perfectly situated near some nice little restaurants and shops and a quick ride to excellent hiking. Would not hesitate to stay again. ”

“A gorgeous loft with tons of natural light. Extremely neat and tidy, with lots of comfy furniture, and all the amenities. Fully stocked kitchen with a huge island. Lots of books and board games, for when you're done with the day. The AC unit is greatly appreciated when it gets hot and steamy outside. About a 1/4 mile from the main part of town. The ADK Cafe serves a mean breakfast. Hannah, Steve, and dog Daisy are wonderful hosts, who are always available, but leave you to do your own thing. We had a great, relaxing time. We'll be back!”

“Everything you need and tastefully decorated. Both beds are fantastic and the sound of the river was great. I was visiting for the Lake Placid Marathon which was a 15 minute drive and it was nice to come back to a peacful setting in the evening, We walked right up the street for a great dinner, though the loft has everyhting you need if you want to cook. Interent, TV, hot water always. Beautifully done woodwork and super clean. Great book selection. Hope to visit again for a long weekend! Many thanks for sharing your loft.”

“This is a thoughtfully designed apartment, very well-appointed and tastefully decorated. It has a wonderful warm and inviting ambiance about it, with efficient and spacious-feeling living area, complete with wood floors perfect for dancing. Plus, included at no extra charge, a daily visit from Daisy, the shameless biscuit moocher, to fill the void left by your own, left-behind hound. Conveniently situated yet surprisingly private with the back entrance facing the stream, where you might get lucky and see the fox or mink hunting along the bank. The only thing I found lacking was a bathtub to soak in after a good day on the trails. Alas, a hot shower and warm bed sufficed. It could be worse. I'd give it a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.”
