“We stayed in this log cabin over the Memorial Weekend May 2016. The cabin is beautiful both inside and out. The cabin is warm, romantic and inviting. Owner takes much pride in ensuring visitors enjoy their stay. He provides tons of information of the area, including hiking, must visit sites, shopping and restaurants. With his guidance there is no way you will not enjoy your stay. Cabin is huge, with a nice large loft, and well maintained. It was also very clean and well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. If you have little kids, they may miss having a TV. But...... there are lots of books, games (we played checkers) and movies which they can watch. After all, we come here to get away from the busy life! We have older teens, so we used wireless WIFI to keep them happy on their IPads. There are fans on the premises but it was cool at nights so we did not need them. The Ausable River is about a 10-12 mins hike from the cabin; owner provided directions. We took our dog for a swim.........he loved it! You are also close proximity to everything. We visited both Lake Placid and Saranac. The cabin is great for all............families, friends getting together, romance, etc. etc. ”

“My family has been to Hemlock on 4 occasions in the last two years. It is a wonderful place. It has a peace and serenity from its location nestled off the main road, yet within 45 minutes you can be to most all the high peak trails. On warm days wading the East Branch is great. All of the surrounding communities are unique and have their own attractions. Just the best.”

“Wonderful, relaxing cabin that soothed the soul. Spent many hours hanging around the camp fire telling amusing stories while listening to a whiporwhirl deep in the forest. Loved the cabin. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Hemlock Lodge. It is very comfortable and we especially loved the fireplace, the porch and the firepit. Starlit evenings around the fire are still vivid in our memories. As are family dinners around the table and late night board games in front of the cracklin' fire. The house is very well equipped, lacking only a dishwasher, which when everyone pitches in to help, isn't a big deal. It is close enough to Lake Placid yet far enough away. It is a bit close to Route 9N such that there is some road noise, but it feels very secluded and private. We enjoyed swimming in the West Branch of the Ausable (just north of the Hungry Trout) and some of us tried to shoot the East Branch rapids by the Jay Covered Bridge. Hemlock Lodge is very convenient to the High Peaks, only maybe 15 minutes to the Garden and 25 or 30 to the Loj. We were able to climb 6 High Peaks during our week, plus took a day trip to Montreal. Thanks for sharing your beautiful log cabin, Brad!”

“My husband and I have rented Hemlock Lodge for the past 4 years in November. We love the privacy, the scenery and the peacefulness surrounding the lodge. The floor to ceiling fireplace in the center of the living room is lovely. The Lodge is well maintained and has everything you need to make yourself at home. The large outdoor deck, with Adirondack chairs, provides a stunning view of the mountains. We have recommended Hemllock Lodge to our friends, who have also returned more than once. We look forward to our annual trip to the Adirondacks and Hemlock Lodge.”
